The other night my husband and I was not able to attend our regular prayer meeting. However, we still prayed with them. While praying I saw a vision of a large crystal blue eye, a bright white light, an ear, a horse in a pasture and then some leaves. Sounds kind of random doesn’t it? We discussed these visions and trusted God to reveal the meaning.
All of this about the Muslim prayer in the National Cathedral has really bothered me. I know in the Bible it talks about many will be deceived in the end times but to blatantly allow the enemy of God to come in and pray to their god in the House of God is really beyond my comprehension. I read an article in Israel Today where the author quoted the organizers of the prayer at the National Cathedral as saying “…they hoped the service would ‘help correct some Americans’ misperceptions of Muslims as extremists and reinforce tolerance among faiths.’ ” I have heard the argument saying allah and God are the same person, just a different name. Once again, don’t be deceived. The only way to God, the Sovereign God, my God is through Jesus Christ. That’s God’s plan for salvation, therefore, that’s the ONLY way. I choose God’s plan and pray everyone else does as well.
So, back to our prayer and my vision. After praying and discussing I casually picked up my Bible to read where I had left off in Ezekiel. The Lord being ever faithful this is what I read:
“Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple; so I looked, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord; and I fell on my face. And the Lord said to me, “Son of man, mark well, see with your eyes and hear with your ears, all that I say to you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the Lord and all its laws. Mark well who may enter the house and all who go out from the sanctuary.
“Now say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “O house of Israel, let Us have no more of all your abominations. When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it—My house—and when you offered My food, the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations. And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but you have set others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.” Thus says the Lord God: “No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart or uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter My sanctuary, including any foreigner who is among the children of Israel.” Ezekiel 44:4 -8.
When we seek the Lord, He is always faithful to reveal Himself to us. I didn’t understand the eye, the ear and the bright light until I read this scripture. Of course I had an idea but wanted the Lord to reveal what He wanted me to learn and not what I thought.
From what I read in that scripture the Lord doesn’t tell us to “tolerate” different faiths in His House. The Lord told Ezekiel to “mark well” all who enter the house of the Lord. In this scripture the leaders of the church did not keep charge of His holy things and allowed others to defile the house of the Lord.
I read on as the Lord tells Ezekiel to “mark well” who may come and go in the sanctuary and the description of the sanctuary after the eternal laws are given and ended with this nugget: “Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not whither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” Ezekiel 47:12. There were my pasture and leaves.
I pray for the leaders of the National Cathedral. I pray they repent and don’t break God’s covenant and allow His Holiness to be defiled. I pray they too will see the eternal law of God’s sanctuaries. I pray they see the pastures on the riverbanks with the trees that shall be for food and leaves that will be used for medicine and never fade. I pray and stand in the gap for these leaders that they “mark well” the Lord’s ways and not tolerate defilement but guard His Holiness. – Donna Warren
