STEADFAST AND UNMOVEABLE

“14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is Salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:14-18

One cannot grow in Grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ if they are led away in error. Spiritually defeated, many are dying in grace and willfully ignorant of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because their faith has been applied to another source and another method for daily living for Christ.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the Law; you are fallen from Grace.” Galatians 5:4

With the Cross of Christ of no effect, the Believer has fallen from Grace. Unlearned and unstable, they have been led away by those who force the Word of God to conform to their particular doctrine. Twisting the Scripture, they vainly attempt to make the Word of God mean something the Holy Spirit never intended. Wanting to follow the lusts of their flesh, they search the Scriptures twisting and forcing their will and utterly disregarding God’s Will to draw the Believer into a life of holiness and righteousness.

Shamefully, many will stand behind the pulpit on Sunday morning having searched the various translations for the particular version of man’s thoughts that will best fit their sermon instead of conforming their sermon to what “Thus saith the Lord…” according to the rightly divided full counsel of the Word of God. Shame on those who do such.

Seeing we know these things before; we know there shall be scoffers, false teachers, false prophets who have a form of godliness from who we should turn away (2 Tim. 3:5)…yet there remain so many who don’t turn away but are in fact led away. The work of the Lord is not abounding in their hearts because they are not growing in Grace and the knowledge of HIM.

57 But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved Brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor. 15:57-58

Do not fall from your own steadfastness and be led away in error. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Fight the good fight of faith…faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Faith properly applied solely and exclusively in the Cross of Christ, guarantees the work of the Lord to abound in our hearts and lives. Giving the Holy Spirit full latitude to do that which He is commissioned to do by Grace through faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus, the work of God abounds in our heart. The life and life more abundantly of which we hear of becomes a reality as we walk in Grace. Sin’s dominion laid waste by God’s Grace expelling that which is not of Him and drawing us closer to holiness and righteousness.

Be ye steadfast. Be ye unmoveable. Grow in Grace and the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Be determined to know nothing else.
