MARKED FOR DEATH

In our back yard we have several young trees with an orange ribbon tied around them. I heard my husband the other day speaking with someone and he pointed to those trees and said they were ‘marked for death’.

When my husband said those words I looked around at the orange ribbons and realized we are all born ‘marked for death’. The devil has his ribbon tied around us at birth due to Adam’s Fall. We are not born the seed of Abraham until we are “Born Again” and marked for life and life more abundantly by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

That precious child we hold in our hands today is marked for death if not taught the ways of the Lord so that they may know Him when His Spirit comes knocking on their hearts door for the Salvation of their eternal soul.

To be sure, children do not go to hell. Please don’t think that’s what I’m saying. What I am saying is if they don’t accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, they are in fact marked for death. Believe it or not, I too used to be one of those precious children (just as you were too, I’m sure), but for me it took a long and hard 40+ years before I knew the Lord and accepted Him as my Saviour.

Growing up I knew the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified and if you would have asked, I would have told you I was a Christian because I sincerely thought I was. It wasn’t until I accepted Him as the Lord of my life and began to learn of Him, Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe, that I understood the difference between being spiritually alive unto God (Romans 6:11) and spiritually dead unto God.

Yes, He knew my name. Yes, He was there all along. If it wasn’t for His Grace, I would have died long ago and spent eternity in the devil’s hell. BUT, I didn’t know He was there. I didn’t see His nail scarred Hand guiding me through this wilderness. I didn’t know He was preparing my heart to accept Him. Ultimately, that night at the altar call, it was my choice. I walked away to previous nights from the drawing of the Holy Spirit at that pentecostal revival in small town Alabama…but then there was that 3rd night; that last night of the revival, that the mark of death was laid waste by the Spirit of God as I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord. The Holy Spirit witnessed to my spirit that I was a Child of God. No longer bound to sin but alive unto God through the Blood of Christ.

Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross so that we may have life and life more abundantly; so that we too may prosper even as our soul prospers. Death has been overcome and nailed to Calvary’s Cross. Every demon in hell was there the day Christ broke the curse of sin and death as He said “It is Finished”.

“16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be Saved.

18 He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18

The reality is we are all born marked for death but there is One Who came so that we may live. No good works, sincerity or zealousness can do what Blood of Christ Jesus can do in the heart of man if we just accept the life He has freely given to whosoever will believe.

Have you believed? Today is the day of Salvation.

Jesus Christ and Him crucified…be determined to know nothing else among you.

DINING WITH THE SWINE (Part 2)

“15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19 And am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of your hired servants.” Luke 15:15-19

Imagine if you will the prodigal son, perishing with hunger as he feeds the pigs and a good samaritan comes by and feeds him, takes care of him and tells him everything is going to be ok. He has a second chance.

The samaritans are sincere in their efforts to help the prodigal son and he is thankful for all that they have done. He gets back on his feet and with good intentions, sets out to ‘do right’. Next thing you know, he’s back feeding the pigs lusting for their food as he hungers.

What really just happened in that scenario is the ‘good samaritans’ hindered the prodigal son from turning back to his father with their supposed ‘good works’. The prodigal son would be likely to stay on this roller coaster for much of his life. We have all seen these people. We know them and we love them. For some, they are family and others they are the consumer of our sincerity.

Unfortunately this is what the majority of the church does for the lost. They try to win them over by showing them their sincerity. Appealing to the lusts of their flesh instead of the thirsty of their eternal soul.

Should we help the down trodden; those who are dining with the pigs? Absolutely! But when we do, point them to their Father’s house….to the One Who can draw them to Him when we minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Don’t hinder their heart from turning to the Lord but show them the way…and the way is not through their belly. It’s through their ears. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Although it’s true, they may can hear a little better with a full stomach. Just make sure they hear of Who Jesus is and what He has done for whosoever will believe!

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no more worthy to be called your son.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.” Luke 15:20-24

The eyes of the Lord and searching the earth to and fro for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him…not those whose bellies are full and hearts hardened. Point them to the Lord; He has a robe, a ring, shoes and a fatted calf just for them. He will feed their thirsty soul and supply all of their needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ.

Look unto Him and be determined to know nothing else among you.

DINING WITH THE SWINE OR HEAVENLY PLACES?

“11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.” Luke 15:11-13

The prodigal is one who wastes his means or his person by indulgences. The Believer who turns his heart away from the Father and unto the Father’s goods has succumbed to greed. Too often their consecration morphs into ambition and their faith turns to greed. Once given the goods, they too often end up dining with the swine.

14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.” Luke 15:14-16

Why does the prodigal end up dining with the swine? Because his heart had turned from Jesus, Who HE is and what HE has done for whosoever will believe, and to the promises afforded the Believer by Jesus. If not for dining with the swine, the prodigal may not have realized his condition; he may not have realized how far he had strayed from his father. Dining with the swine was merely a symptom. It was the change in his heart; the turning from his father and to his father’s goods that led to the diagnosis of heart failure.

Was he Saved? When his heart turned away from his father, was he Saved? He did not renounce his father as his father, he just no longer wanted to fellowship with his father. If such is so, did he really love his father to begin with?

If he had died in the pig pen, would he have made Heaven his home?

Then there is King David.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.” 1 Samuel 27:1

King David went and lived among the enemy out of fear of Saul yet the Lord says of him that David was a man after his own heart. David’s heart was perfect toward the Lord even as he was oppressed by fear.

Was he Saved during his time with the Philistines? Absolutely. Was the prodigal son Saved as he backslid into the pig pen? Personally, I believe so. If he had died on the way to the pig pen, yes, I believe he would have made Heaven his home. If while in the pig pen, he had renounced his father and chose to stay in his pen of pigs due to his foolish pride, then no – I don’t believe he would have made Heaven.

Humility was and is the symptom of a heart that is tender toward the Lord. For some of us, it takes some time with the pigs and for others, even though far from perfect, our hearts are humbled by the Lord. No matter the case, the Lord seeks for our hearts to be tender toward Him and to know that He has our best in mind. Those promises are yes and amen; He WILL turn all things to good for those who love Him but it is always according to HIS Purpose and HIS Will…not ours. Trust Him. Lean not unto your own understanding. Don’t dine with the swine. Jesus didn’t Redeem you to leave you. He has made a way. Consider the condition of your heart. Recognize how you receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. If it is foolishness, you’re in heart failure.

Be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

THE CONTAGION

Fear and doubt are contagious. When fear comes knocking…and it will come, remember in Whom you have believed. Perfect love casts out all fear. It is expelled by God’s Divine Grace when we look unto our Redeemer. The Child of God is bought with a price; a high price. Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross so that we who have believed upon Him as our Lord and our Saviour can be freed from the fear of tomorrow.

Jesus is alive today sitting at the Right Hand of the Throne of God searching the earth for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. Faint not, your Redemption is near. He Who has started a good work in you is able to perform it until He calls our soul home or He comes back in the clouds.

That trumpet is going to sound soon and very soon. There is no time for fear and doubt to be spreading throughout the church. Know in Whom you have believed. Be not ashamed. He is perfectly able to keep that which we who believe has committed unto Him. Be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” 2 Timothy 1:12

DRIVEN OUT

9 When you are come into the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord your God does drive them out from before you.” Deuteronomy 18:9-12

The Lord has driven out the abominations of the diviner, enchanter and observer of times. He has separated us who have believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour from the charmer, consulter of familiar spirits, wizards and those who call up the dead (necromancers).

At Calvary, Jesus Christ made the Way for us to abide in the secret place of the most High; to abide without fear of the enemy. Submitted unto Jesus, Who HE is and what HE has done at Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for the believing sinner AND break the power of sin for the Saint, we are able to resist the devil and he will flee. No matter the circumstance; the ability to resist is afforded by the Grace of God which flows continually as we look unto Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

It is when we occupy the land the Lord has given us and we are abiding in Him but begin looking at worldly precepts that the problems begin to occur. Looking unto diviners, witches and necromancers is a huge problem in the church today. Because these diviners and witches are attempting to manipulate the righteous spirit world with their incantations we do not recognize them as ‘diviners’ but instead call them mighty men and women of God which is not so. To be sure, the Roman Catholic Church is full of necromancers as they pray to Saints of old. Their prayers to Mary are nothing more than calling up the dead for she is in fact dead herself.

Beware of white witchcraft which is running rampant in the church. We do not have authority of angels nor are we able to manipulate the righteous spirit world. Attempting to divine the God’s principalities and powers is an abomination. It is witchcraft.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

The Lord has set us in heavenly places to abide with Him. He has prepared a place for us in Heaven and on earth. He has a purpose and a perfect will for us to complete while on this side of glory. Do not look unto the ways of the world, look unto Jesus. Trust Him. Allow Him to be the God of Glory in your heart that you may be found a tree of righteousness when the storms begin to roar. He is perfectly able and willing to take you through the storm but we must keep our eyes on HIM.

Jesus Christ and Him crucified, be determined to know nothing else among you.

LET THE THIRSTY COME

Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

God is peace and He invites whosoever will believe upon His Redemption Plan, Jesus Christ and Him crucified, into that peace. All who believe in Jesus Christ as the Source and His Cross as the means by which we receive from God, has access to peace beyond all understanding. We have joy unspeakable and full of glory when we look unto WHO Jesus is and WHAT He has done for whosoever will believe. HE is the Author and Finisher of our faith, not our declarations and creeds rooted in religious pride and self righteousness.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life for those who have believed. We have been seated with with Him in heavenly places and have seen His Glory. We have seen His strength made perfect in our weakness. We are a whosoever and choose to live in His Peace. Our life is not our own. We are bought with a price and choose to glorify God.

Quite frankly, we know that we know that we know in Whom we have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which we have committed unto Him.

The invitation remains open for whosoever will believe this side of Heaven. There are no second chances. There is no purgatory. We must all choose in whom we are going to serve. Seek Him while He may be found.

And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come. And let him that hear say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17

God’s Children are all invited to share in His Peace and we are urged to bring the stranger to know Him. All who has an ear to hear, let them hear. Come and drink of the water of life freely. Jesus Christ and Him crucified…be determined to know nothing else among you.

THE TEST

“1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder,

2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spoke unto you, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them;

3 You shall not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proves you, to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

4 You shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear Him, and keep His Commandments, and obey His Voice, and you shall serve Him, and cleave unto Him.” Deuteronomy 13:1-4

Satan’s use of false preachers and teachers to turn God’s people away from Him has proven to be quite successful. He is very good at deceiving people to believe that what is actually of God, isn’t, and what isn’t of God, is.

Regrettably, God’s people repeatedly support these false prophets because they know very little of the Word of God and therefore they cannot discern right from wrong; truth or error. If it seems right in their eyes, then it must be right. Their moral authority is their deceitful heart and not the Word of God.

To be sure, the Lord allows these false teachers and preachers to prosper for a while in order to test His people. This test, which is always for our benefit, will reveal to us our own heart if we choose to see. Having been led away from God’s precepts and unto the precepts of the world, we often do not realize how far we have strayed until we are sleeping with the swine. The two edged sword of false doctrine cuts deep.

3 For the lips of a strange woman (false doctrine) drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:

4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.

5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

6 Lest you should ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that you cannot not know them.” Proverbs 5:3-6

There are many who have rested comfortably in the Laodicean church. They are indeed rich, increased with goods and in need of nothing. The Lord has allowed this church and in fact told us of this church in His Word.

“19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My Voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His Throne.

22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.” Revelation 3:19-22

The Lord has allowed the false teachers to prosper. The Endtime church is upon us. He is testing his people to show them their wicked ways. He is bringing them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified so that they may choose in whom they will serve. Is it Jesus Christ, Who HE is and what HE has done for whosoever will believe, that we love with all of our heart and all of our soul or is it our church organization?

The Lord is proving each and every person who claims to belong to Him. Discern the test. Examine yourselves…each and every one of us, whether you be in the faith. Is the preaching of Jesus Christ and Him crucified for daily living unto God foolishness unto you? If so, you are perishing and need to repent.

Jesus stands at the door of the apostate Endtime church knocking. As many as He loves, He rebukes. He is seeking to prove our love…not for His sake but for ours. To those who overcome, He will grant a seat with Him.

He that has an ear, let him hear. Discern the test.

Jesus Christ and Him crucified…be determined to know nothing else among you.

NEVERTHELESS, COME

It is the Cross of Christ which gives the Holy Spirit legal means to Sanctify the Saint. The Holy Spirit will not effect this Sanctification process if we look to other means, no matter how ‘good and holy’ they may seem.

“2 You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.

3 You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts.

4 You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

5 Do you think that the Scripture says in vain, The Spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy?

6 But He gives more Grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives Grace unto the humble.

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:2-7

Currently there are a whole lot of church folks asking but they’re asking amiss. These adulterers and adulteresses are at enmity with God because they are friends with the world. The humanistic psychology cloaked in Scripture is the world’s vain attempt to sanctify fallen man. This rehabilitation process consists of 40 days, 12 steps and/or 100 ways to complete. At the end of such, man is still fallen and we are still broken. We lusted and we had not. We kill that which hinders, yet we still desire to have but cannot obtain. We fight and war to have but we have not because we ask not and then when we do ask, we ask amiss so that our pride and self righteousness may be fed.

Our friendship with the world and it’s wicked ways has caused us to be opposed to God. Our intents are sincere but our actions are wicked. Shemitah’s, harbingers, blood moons, prayer shawls, yamichas and such have led us down a path of destruction. They have hindered the Holy Spirit from effecting sanctification in our hearts and presented worldly precepts. With our hearts depending on these wicked ways, we are not allowing the Holy Spirit to remove those things which are not pleasing unto God and place in our hearts God’s desires. The Sanctification process is interrupted. Being married to Christ, we are fornicating with the world when this happens and the Holy Spirit lusts to envy. He is jealous over those wicked desires we have turned over to the world for deliverance.

“13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all Truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come.

14 He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall show it unto you.” John 16:13-14

We must understand that the Holy Spirit will never speak of Himself but will show us the Cross of Christ Jesus, Who He is and what He has done. When John 16:13 was written the crucifixion of Jesus had no yet occurred; it was still to come. Just because we have a mental knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified doesn’t mean we have graduated. There is a Sanctification process that occurs as the Holy Spirit CONTINUES to draw the Saint closer to holiness and righteousness. As we draw nearer to the Lord, the wickedness of our own hearts is revealed and expelled from it’s throne.

Jesus Christ is the Word and therefore the Word of God is alive. It is never changing and is inexhaustible. As we read the Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelations 22:21, the Holy Spirit will reveal to us Jesus Christ and Him crucified. This revelation of Who Jesus is and what He has done is the Rock of which the Church is built…and to be sure, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

“15 He (JESUS) said unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but My Father which is in Heaven.

18 And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:15-18

Precept upon precept and line upon line, that mustard seed of faith is given the increase as we as children, learn to depend upon Jesus Christ to author and finish our faith. One day soon and very soon our faith will indeed become sight as we behold the Face of our Lord Jesus Christ but until that time comes we must continue to occupy. The invitation remains to come. The Holy Spirit wants to effect Sanctification upon the Believer but we too must come daily to Calvary’s Cross. We must come daily to deny ourselves and trust in the Lord. Whosoever will believe is Salvation for the believing sinner and Sanctification for the believing Saint. Nevertheless, come.

“And the Spirit and the Bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17
