There is a great gap between that of the spiritual man and the natural man. When the believing sinner accepts Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, we are Born Again; Baptized into His Death and made a new creation in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:3-5). We are not regenerated but recreated.
Man has forever tried to bridge the gap between the spiritual man and the natural man but continues to fall short because moral evolution is a lie. There is however a moral decline that occurs as the conscience of the natural man is seared and their heart is hardened by the sin nature which reigns in the heart of the unregenerate.
Yes, even the greatest of men and women who have made it to the top of the ladder in the worlds of psychology and good works are still morally deprived. Their faith is in their intellect as the gap between natural man and spiritual man grows wider and not closer. They become reprobate. In all of their knowledge they do not understand that we who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ are HIS workmanship and not our own. Being determined to know nothing else except Jesus Christ and Him crucified, we have denied ourselves. The fight of faith is a daily fight – not for Salvation but for Sanctification to walk daily in HIS Will and HIS Ways and not our own. His Way are higher than ours and we do not always understand but we trust.
Why? Because we know in Whom we have believed and have reckoned Him fully capable to keep us unto the day. His Cross was and is and will forever be sufficient to supply all of our needs according to His riches in Glory.
This is not a lingo we learn but a Rock on which we stand. It is the revelation of Who Jesus is and what He did for whosoever wills (wants) to believe. This is the new creation Christ Jesus created. Psychology may have tried to rehabilitate but it fail short….as it always will. It is only IN Christ Jesus that the Spirit of Life frees us from the Law of Sin and Death (Romans 8:2).
We are HIS workmanship; not our own. Trust Him and believe.
“8 For by Grace are ye Saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10
