There are more lost to self-righteousness than to vice.

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:14

That wide path is full of the self righteous who perform many wonderful works in the Name of the Lord but He knows them not.

“21 Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the will of My Father which is in Heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23

It is high time the church stops playing church, confess our own guilt and plead the Person and Work of Christ Jesus as the Sacrificial Lamb of God for forgiveness and deliverance from this pilgrim land. He stands at the door knocking. Those who have ears to hear, let them hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying unto the churches. Return to your first Love…be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

A liar lies because they are a liar. They are not a liar because they lie.

A sinner sins because they are a sinner. They are not a sinner because they sin.

You will know them by their fruit. It is their fruit (ie. the lie, the sin, the bondage, etc.) that bears witness as to what they are.

A false teacher will bear the fruit of Believers who are bound by sin. These Believers are indeed sincere and zealous for the Lord but yet they remain bound. Their bondage may be a religious bondage that is the hardest for them to see. Seeing, they see not and neither do they hear, nor understand. I know this because I was at one time among them myself.

Other bondages may be oppression. Think of the Israelites in Egypt who were slaves to the Egyptians. Sadly, too many Believers are slaves to the world. The world’s ways and precepts have them bound in the miry muck. Their intellect and talents have led them astray and they are being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine as they grasp to keep their heads above water.

No matter the case, the sin that has so easily beset them is the object of their faith has been moved from the Cross of Christ to another method…a seemingly biblical method but in reality it is a doctrine of man.

There is freedom from bondage at the Cross of Christ…no matter the circumstance. There is peace beyond all understanding because you know that you know that you know that you are just passing through this pilgrim land. You know in Whom you have believed and are fully persuaded that HE and HE alone is able to keep that of which you have committed unto Him.
Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for the believing sinner AND break the power of sin for the believing Saint…all we must do is choose this day to BELIEVE; to BELIEVE that His Grace is sufficient.

Jesus Christ alone can heal the sin sick heart. That sin sick heart may not drink, smoke, fornicate or do any other of the fleshly sins that we all recognize but it still may be so buried in the muck of sin and under the dominion of the sin nature of which we are all born with, that they are as the Egyptian slaves bound by Egypt.

17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.” Matthew 7:15-20

Judge the fruit. Judge the fruit righteously. Take the mote out of your own eye and judge your own fruit and then come out from among them and be ye separate.

Any doctrine in the modern church which is not squarely based on Jesus Christ as the Source and His Cross as the means by which we receive from God is idolatry. The idols of today are not made of silver and bronze but of denominationalism, methods of man and/or false doctrines that sweep the people to and fro. These Believer’s never know the power of God but begin perishing as soon as they turn to these wicked ways.

“For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are Saved it is the Power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

The other Jesus brought about by another spirit which produces another gospel corrupts the Truth of Jesus Christ and Him crucified in the Believer’s heart and makes the Cross of Christ of no effect. Evil fruit is produced…fruit unto death because they are perishing under the weight of false doctrine. If this wasn’t so, the Word of God would not warn us over and over of false doctrine.

Promise Keepers, The Government of Twelve, Word of Faith and the Seeker Sensitive churches have turned the modern church away from God. They are in need of nothing.
You will know them by their fruit. It is dead or dying. Perishing under the weight of the false doctrine they have believed. Seeing, they see not. Hearing, they hear not and neither do they believe. The delusion is real and God has allowed because they did not receive the love of the Truth.

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the Truth, that they might be Saved.” 2 Thessalonians 2:10

The Lord is standing at the door knocking. He is not among the false preachers but He stands at the door calling His Children out from among them to sup with them and them with Him. Those who have ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the churches, let us hear. Do not equate these idols with the Cross of Christ.

Jesus Christ and Him crucified…be determined to know nothing else among you.

“15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the Will of God abides for ever.
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” 1 John 2:15-18

Fellowship with the world is one of the greatest dangers for the Child of God. The allurements of the world never change but steadily attempt to seduce the flesh into unrighteousness. Our members war against the law in our mind making us a slave unto sin (Romans 7:23-24)…the sin; our sin nature which we were all born with due to the Fall of Adam.

This sin nature ruled our hearts and lives before our Salvation but when we were Saved (assuming and praying those who read this are Saved), the Holy Spirit came into our heart and dethroned the sin nature. It is isolated by the power of the Holy Spirit as long as we continue looking unto Jesus Christ as the Source and His Cross the means by which the power of sin is broken.

As we fellowship with the world, our sin nature is quickened. Being baptized into Jesus’ Death at Salvation (Romans 6:3-5), we are dead to the man made laws to obtain righteousness and alive unto God through Jesus Christ our King. The unsaved are unable to live unto God. They are ruled by their sin nature which will not allow such. Only when the sinner wills to believe; when we choose to believe, does the Holy Spirit come and pierce asunder the heart and utterly bind those powers of darkness that try to hinder the sinner from believing.

A new creature in Christ Jesus, our sin nature remains isolated by the power of the Holy Spirit alone. It’s not by might, not by power but by the Holy Spirit alone is the sin nature isolated. Our self will, talents, intellect, abilities, etc. cannot isolate our sin nature. If such were so, the Cross of Christ was in vain. God forbid no! The Grace of God either expels unrighteousness by the power of the Holy Spirit under the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus as we look unto the Cross of Christ or the Law of Sin and Death keeps us under the dominion of sin. The choice is ours. Do we believe the Cross of Christ is sufficient for all that we need according to His riches in glory? Or do we tend to the ways of the world to gain a form of righteousness…self righteousness which ultimately leads to spiritual death of the Believer.

The spirit of the antichrist is alive and well in this world. Many come in the form of preachers of righteousness. Their words are sweet but swelling. They leaven the lump…the whole lump. Another means and another method are given to break the power of sin other than Jesus Christ and Him crucified. It is the methods of the world being taught as Biblical doctrine. Another Jesus and another gospel presented to the church for victorious Christian living and they are all given by those who claim to be preachers of righteousness.

You will know them by their fruit.

If you have ears to hear, come out from among them and be ye separate. What fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? Our sin nature remains isolated only as we look unto the Cross of Christ. Look to Calvary and be set free from the bondage of sin. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. There is a cloud of witnesses to testify unto the Glory of the Lord. What He has done for me, He will do for you. We’re just passing through this pilgrim land and the only thing we can take us are souls. Don’t you want to go?

On October 31st, 2020 professing Christians all over the USA will celebrate Halloween. These celebrations will occur a mere 3 days before the most important Presidential election in the history of the United States of America. Many of these same Christians are the very ones calling on those who are called by the Name of the Lord to humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways and the Lord will heal our land

I have a question for those Christians who are doing this. Please define wickedness? How do you celebrate Halloween one day and ask the Lord to heal our land the next?

“14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness?
15 And what concord has Christ with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel?
16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the Living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:14-17

You either believe the Word of God to be true or you believe it to be a lie. Personal feelings regarding such things do not usurp what the Bible says. What you believe is between you and God, not you and me. As for me and my house, we choose Jesus. He dwells with me and walks with me. He is my God and I am His people. Yes, me…this imperfect vessel He chose to call by His Name because I chose to believe upon Him…upon Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
As for me, Jesus is the Source and His Cross the means by which I receive from the Lord and I fight daily the good fight of faith in the Cross of Christ. My flesh tries to hinder but I am persuaded that Jesus Christ can keep all that I have committed unto Him.

Personally, I don’t want any fellowship with darkness. The Lord delivered me from a word of faith church and He told me long ago that He got me out of there one time and if I went back I would be greatly deceived….and He would allow it. Some may call me “religious” but they don’t know what the Lord has brought me from. His praise will always be on my lips. He is the Lord Who Saves. He is the Lord Who delivers if we will only turn from our wicked ways according to what HE declares as wicked, not us.

Repent. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Turn from your wicked ways. Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will heal our land. Stop playing church and be the church.

INTELLECTUALISM – devotion to the exercise of intellect or to intellectual pursuits.

There are many professing Christians who have a head knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified and agree. For many years (most of my adult life), if you asked me if I was a Christian I would adamantly say “YES”. The truth of the matter though was that I was no more a Christian than a tomato plant sitting in the garage is a car. I knew the Gospel but had not accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord. I remind you, the devil knows the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. One thing about my story is that I wasn’t in church. My profession of Christianity was lip service to those who inquired and it soothed my conscience so I wouldn’t have to think about the consequences of eternal hell.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3

Sadly, there are many sitting in the church house today who have the same profession except they are sitting on the pews every Sunday. They know the theology of their certain denomination and what it teaches however they do not know the Lord Jesus Christ and neither does He know them.

“21 Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the Will of My Father which is in Heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?

They have departed from the faith and followed doctrines of demons. Their’s is another Jesus and another gospel. Vain philosophies have been taught as biblical doctrine and they have believed a lie. They have no oil in their lamps. Their eternal Salvation by faith in the Finished Work of Christ Jesus has morphed into dead works by faith in their many wonderful works. Their intellectualism has them deceived and they are bound for a devil’s hell unless they turn from their wicked ways.

Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you know Who He is? (The only begotten Son of God.) Do you know what He has done? (God manifested in the flesh to become the Sacrificial Lamb of God to pay the penalty of sin and break the power of sin for whosoever will believe.). Have you been Born Again?

God knows the answers to these questions and so do you. No matter the case, He stands at the door knocking wanting to have a personal relationship with you. Don’t let anyone tell you that you must be water baptized to be Saved. This is simply not so. There is nothing you must do to be Born Again except simply believe upon Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and ask Him to come into your heart.

When the believing sinner wills (wants) to believe upon the Lord Jesus there is no devil in hell that can stop his ability to believe. The power of God can pierce asunder the heart of man and open the door for our free will to believe.

“23 Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believe.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help You my unbelief.” Mark 9:23-24

If you will to believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, don’t be ashamed to cry out unto the Lord for Him to help your unbelief. It’s your will to believe upon the Cross of Christ for Salvation and victory over sin that opens the door for faith to arise.

It is so much harder for those who have been indoctrinated with religious philosophies to simply believe. The Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified has been made of no affect because of their many wonderful works in the Name of Jesus. However, nothing is impossible with the Lord when we humble ourselves and cry out to Jesus to help our unbelief.

SUPERSTITION – a widely held but unjustified belief in supernatural causation leading to certain consequences of an action or event, or a practice based on such a belief.
The church house is full of superstitious Christians. The superstitions involve religious activities therefore it is equated with true biblical doctrine. Not so.

WHITE WITCHCRAFT – the use of sorcery or magic.

White witchcraft and superstition go hand in hand in the religious circles. The vain attempt to manipulate the righteous spirit world through spells and incantations remains witchcraft and is strictly prohibited by the Word of God.

“10 There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God does drive them out from before thee.” Deuteronomy 18:10-12

These practices have been so readily accepted by the Church that they have dulled the spiritual insensibility of many and they have been left bound…ruled by these vain philosophies for victory over sin. There are some practices that many Christians will quickly recognize as error but superstition and witchcraft has been embraced and anyone who tries to revolt against them is considered a troublemaker; someone who causes confusion among the body. A general revolt against such practices will not take place as long as the church has accepted this yoke of bondage. Living among the superstitious and those who practice witch craft brings one into a bondage of works…religious works with the fruit of death as the result.

Faith in superstition and religious incantations is not faith in the Cross of Christ. We cannot have faith in 2 things. It’s either Jesus Christ and Him crucified for the victory in which we seek or it’s religious incantations and superstitions.

Until we decide to come out from among them and be ye separate, no matter the social status to which we have gained, we will not have the victorious Christian life we so desperately seek. The Holy Spirit is not commissioned to do the work of God in our heart when we are spewing out incantations and believing in superstitious religious works. Repent and come out. Jesus stands at the door knocking. Return to your First Love…be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

SOME PEOPLE ARE BUSY.

“38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that He (Jesus) entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard His Word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, you are careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:38-42

SOME ARE BUSY BEING RELIGIOUS. THEIR WICKS ARE NEATLY TRIMMED BUT THERE IS NO OIL IN THEIR LAMPS.

“Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.” Matthew 25:1-12

BUT THERE REMAINS A REMNANT WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO BAAL.

“10 And he (Elijah) said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the Children of Israel have forsaken Your Covenant, thrown down Your altars, and slain Your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
11 And He (God) said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” 1 Kings 19:10-12

The Lord was not in the wind. He was not in the earthquake. We may be but He’s not. Get back in the boat. The religious distractions have kept us busy. The storms have swept us to and fro. It is high time the Church, those who are called by His Name return to their First Love – Jesus Christ. His Sacrifice paid the penalty for sin for the believing sinner and broke the power of sin for the Saint. His still small voice remains for those who have ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Churches.

There is a remnant. A remnant who is going to the four corners of the earth and declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified for Salvation and for daily living for God. We have SEEN the Salvation of the Lord in our own lives. There are trials and tribulations but we know in Whom we have believed and we are fully persuaded that He and He alone is able to keep those things which we have committed unto Him.

Jesus Christ paid the price for whosoever will believe. He has Redeemed us and is fully able to keep us if we continue looking unto Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith. One day soon and very soon our faith is going to become sight and we are going to see Jesus Christ face to face but until then we must not be preoccupied with the world. We must not occupy until He comes. There is a lost and dying world who needs to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The only thing we can take with us to Heaven is souls…nothing else matters.
There is a religious majority who are doing many wonderful works in the Name of Jesus but they themselves are not even Saved. Come out from among them. Do the work of the Lord. Study to show thyself approved. Be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Be still and see the Salvation of the Lord. Listen for the still small voice.
