Never Thirsting Again

There are many people I claim to know but they wouldn’t know me from Adam’s house cat. I know of Buddha and Mohammed but they certainly never knew me. The fact of the matter is, they are now dwelling in the devil’s hell and believe Jesus Christ is Lord. I “know” and I love my Pastor and his family (The Swaggarts) but the fact of the matter is, I’m sure he doesn’t actually know my name. However, there is One Who does know my name and He is the only One Who matters.

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14

In Him, I shall never thirst again. In Him, there is a well of living water. In Him, there is everlasting life. He is the Word made flesh Who came to die that I may live (John 1:14). He knows my name. He knows every hair on my head…He knew me before I was born and has a purpose and perfect will for my life.

I did not know this until I met Him that day in August, 2013 when MY name was written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Since that day I have urged others to meet Him and forsake the water which allows them to thirst again and drink of the living water….the water which has brough life unto my soul even in the midst of darkness. The water which draws me deeper into His Will and His Way in spite of my failures. Precept upon precept and line upon line, I walk this narrow path. When I recognize the deceitful lusts springing up inside of me, seeds of bitterness, anger and fear, I know from whence they come and look again to the One in Whom I have trusted. Like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up the standard which lays waste my error and points me to Christ (Isaiah 59:19). The Holy Spirit will never point to Himself but to Jesus Christ (John 16:13). Instead of rebuking the devil, I submit unto God…daily; not just that once unto Salvation.

My prayer for all is that they too come to the saving knowledge of The Man I met that day in August 2013; the One Who paid the penalty of sin and broke the power of sin for whosoever will believe, Jesus Christ, and to never get caught up in some form of religion. That form of religion leaves you thirsty; still seeking to fill the hole of which only the Lord Jesus Christ can fill. He IS alive. He is sitting at the Right Hand of the Throne of God seeking those whose heart is perfect toward Him. His strength is made perfect in our weakness…not our talents, intellect or abilities.

Through our faith in the Cross of Christ, the Holy Spirit births the impossible in us. As for me, I am determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified and pray the same for each and everyone of you.

God bless.

Character vs. Reputation

Character-education
The difference in our reputation and our character is our reputation is what another person THINKS of us and our character is what God KNOWS of us. It is none of our business what others think of us but we will give an account unto God for our character.

The Holy Spirit alone is the only One Who can change the character of man into that which we should be.  There are no laws or means capable of changing a person’s character.  It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to superintend the work of God in the heart of the Believer.  Sadly, the majority of the church world applies disciplines to overcome bad character and expect the Holy Spirit to wrought the work of God in their lives because they are disciplined which makes the Cross of Christ of no effect.  The faith of the “disciplined” is placed in their ability to overcome the negative characteristic and the Holy Spirit is not commissioned to circumcise our hearts of that which is not pleasing unto God on the condition of one’s ability to abstain.  Consecration morphs into ambition and faith into greed as the leaven begins to leaven the whole lump.  Before our eyes, the self righteousness of the sinlessly perfect beholds a great and wonderful reputation among the religious while their character continues to fall short.
Consider your character…not your reputation among men.
…Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29
Jesus Christ is the answer to man’s dilemma.  The Holy Spirit is only commissioned to work within the realm of faith in the Cross of Christ…not our ability or willpower to abstain.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2

Soothsayer Sunday

111 Fortune-Teller-Costume-Man16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of Salvation.

18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the Name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” Acts 16:16-18

This same spirit of divination ministers death to many congregations. The soothsayers of the modern church prophesy, cast out devils and do many good works in the Name of Jesus yet He does not know them (Matthew 7:21-23).  With their mouths they draw near to the Lord but their heart is far from Him (Matthew 15:8-9). The Jesus of which they preach is another Jesus and another gospel and it is accursed (Galatians 1:8).

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Unity in Christ is not accepting the leaven that’s in the lump for the sake of fellowship but boldly standing up before the people and declaring there is poison in that pot.  Recognize the soothsayers and come out from among them.

Wisdom of Men

1_corinthians_2_5--white-800x800The lost are not lost because they reject Jesus but they reject Jesus because they are lost.  The lost cannot come to the revelation knowledge of God through the wisdom of man; hence the seeker sensitive churches are a waste.  Reciting a prayer and receiving a church membership card does not deem one as Saved.

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17

The Spirit of God bears witness unto the believing sinner when they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  Having knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ does not deem one as Saved either.  We must all, on our own accord, willingly accept the Sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary’s Cross for the penalty of our own sin to be Saved.  It is the conviction of the Holy Spirit when the Cross of Christ is lifted up among the people as their Lord and Saviour which draws the sinner to Salvation AND the Saints to holiness and righteousness (Sanctification), not the wisdom of men being taught as biblical doctrine.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 2 Corinthians 2:4-5

The seeker sensitive churches have used the wisdom of men to draw the people and the people they have received too often come out of an act of sincerity. Their faith is not faith in the Cross of Christ unto Salvation but falls into the category of sentimentalism toward Jesus as He is made out to be a martyr instead of a Sacrifice.  Their faith is in the wisdom of false teachers and preachers.  Sadly these will often fall at the first difficulty or unpleasant circumstance encountered as a “new Christian” because their “Christianity” was declared by man and not by the Spirit of God bearing witness unto their spirit.  If they do pay tithes it is often to build the civic organization they call “church” and not to promote the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to a lost and dying world.  My loved ones and your loved ones are often seduced by these seeker sensitive churches into a false sense of Salvation.  Theirs is the worst kind of deceit because they believe the unbelieving believer believes they are Saved.

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the Power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:17-18

Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Tell the world Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for the sinner and break the power of sin for the Believer.  This is the Power of God unto Salvation.  How shall they

13 For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be Saved.

14 How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:13-15

There is but one thing we can take with us when we leave this earthly abode and that is souls. Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Be determined to know nothing else among you.

Ears to Hear

he-who-has-ears
5 That in every thing you are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

7 So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 God is faithful, by Whom you were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Cor. 1:5-9

Those of us who are called unto fellowship with God by our Lord Jesus Christ…those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, are promised to be enriched by God as we occupy and wait on the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Looking unto Jesus Christ, Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe, He confirms us; keeps us precept upon precept and line upon line drawing us unto holiness and righteousness. Old things pass away and all things become new as the Holy Spirit circumcises our heart superintends the work of God in our life.

Abstinence through will power by looking unto ourselves as the source does not confirm us unto the end. Good intentions through sincerity will not enrich us in all utterance and knowledge of God. The precious Promises of God found through out the Word of God are given on the condition of faith in the Cross of Christ.

The Cross of Christ is the Power of God unto us who are called into fellowship with God. Many do not understand they are no longer in fellowship with God because they have neglected the condition of God’s fellowship and have presented unto Him Cain’s sacrifice. Vain philosophies have been taught as biblical doctrine and they have been deceived. Sadly their pride is keeping them from repenting of their error and just as pharaoh’s heart was hardened, so too is their’s.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My Voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His Throne.

22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.” Revelation 3:20-22

God’s Condition

HL2For all the promises of God in Him(Jesus) are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the Glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

The Promises of God are yes and amen for those who abide in His condition…faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, Who HE is and what HE has done for whosoever will believe.  This condition necessary for God’s Promises to be yes and amen is not a one time event at Salvation but an everyday fight of faith.

The condition of these promises are not to live a holy life and do many good works among the people but to abide in Christ Jesus through faith in His redeeming work to keep us unto the day our faith becomes sight.  Abstaining from sin is not a condition of God’s promises but deliverance from sin; it’s power being broken, is a result of God’s promises by abiding in His condition.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the Law, but under Grace.” Romans 6:14

Sin’s dominion is laid waste when God’s condition for His promises are met. Buried with Christ Jesus into His Death, we are dead unto our sin nature and alive unto God. Our old man is crucified with Christ Jesus so that the body of sin might be destroyed.  This destruction of sin is not by and through self-abasement, self effort, willpower, abstinence, intellect or abilities but by the Cross of Christ.  We are afforded access to and buried with Jesus through faith that His Work was and is sufficient to break the power of sin which gives the Holy Spirit latitude to do that which He is commissioned to do…draw us, lead us and quicken us unto holiness and righteousness.  Just as the Holy Spirit drew us unto Salvation, He will continue drawing us unto Sanctification; creating in us a new creature, not a rehabilitated creature who now has now conquered sin by doing many religious works.  That’s not God’s condition for His Promises to be yes and amen.

Many who are born again and alive unto God through faith in the Cross of Christ quickly lose sight of the condition of God’s promises as religion points them to various means and philosophies to obtain these promises. Living a defeated Christian life, producing fruit unto death, they become bitter, discouraged and sadly their faith is often destroyed.  God’s promises have not been yes and amen in their lives because His condition has not been met for daily living for God.  They are religious but life and life more abundantly had been stolen; peace beyond all understanding has surpassed them and joy unspeakable is a lie they tell themselves daily.

The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

This life of which we live is given for the Glory of God but is utterly stolen and corrupted by the lies of the devil through religious means given with good intentions to sanctify the Body of Christ.  The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to produce fruit unto God.  Our many good works and good intentions to live a holy life falls shamefully short of the Holiness of Jesus Christ.  Look unto Him, Jesus Christ, for that which you ought to be unto God; present yourselves as a living sacrifice unto God, and the Holy Spirit shall quicken your mortal bodies to do that which is holy and acceptable unto God.

For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.” Romans 8:2

In order to receive the Promises of God, we must abide in His condition…faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, not only for Salvation but for everything that we receive from God – including His Promises.
