ETERNALLY CONSCIOUS

There are many who know the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified but they keep it in their pocket. They don’t want to be converted by the Cross of Christ because it will hinder their best life now agenda therefore they keep this knowledge in their pocket in order to use it when death comes knocking on their door so that they may have eternal life in Heaven.
 
Can Jesus Save the dying thief on the cross? Absolutely. Anyone who calls upon the Name of Jesus this side of Heaven can and will be Saved on the condition of accepting HIM as their Lord and Saviour. We are Saved by Grace through Faith. Our Salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast.
 
HOWEVER, the irreparable harm that is done in the lives of others, those that surround the thief who has the Gospel in his pocket but rejects the Salvation of which it offers, cannot be undone when the thief accepts Christ.
 
I feel strongly in my heart that they’re many in this world today that the Lord is wanting to use to bring their’s into the Kingdom of God….their loved ones; their children, parents, brothers, sisters, co-workers, etc. but pride stands in the way.
 
“22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
 
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeing Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
 
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:22-24
 
Hell is real. Hell is eternal. Hell is a CONSCIOUS eternity. The rich man today is still seeking for that water which he will never have. I can’t help but wonder, did someone keep the Gospel from him; did they keep the knowledge in their pocket for their use at a later date for eternal Salvation OR was he the one with the knowledge in his pocket with good intentions of accepting when all other measures were exhausted for their best life. We never know the day nor the hour that the Lord will demand of us our soul. In our carnal minds we may have it all planned out but quite frankly that’s foolish. The gates of hell open wide for those who believe such and once the gates of hell close behind the lost soul it is indeed eternal. There is no purgatory…that too is a lie from the devil.
 
If you are one who has been keeping the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified in your pocket for a later date, I urge you today to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. TODAY is the day of Salvation. There are those around you, YOUR loved ones that need to see YOU converted into the image of Christ Jesus so that they too can believe. There are eternal souls in your path that the Lord is wanting to use YOU for His Glory in their lives but until you pull that knowledge out of your pocket and submit unto Jesus Christ and Him crucified, the damage done continues to worsen. I life misspent can certainly and will always be forgiven upon repentance but the damage cannot be undone.
 
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Be the vessel the Lord wills you to be…not the vessel we will ourselves to be. The Holy Spirit is jealous over the powers of darkness that has control of your life and HE and HE alone if fully capable of apprehending those powers and lay them waste if we will simply submit unto the Cross of Christ for our Salvation AND for our daily living for God.
 
The Promises of God are yes and amen but they are also conditional…conditional on conversion which is repugnant to the carnal mind which is precisely why we keep them in our pocket; we don’t want to be converted. I speak because I know. For most of my life I confessed Christianity because I had knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified but just like so many today, I kept this knowledge in my pocket for use if I got sick, got old, got old and sick. You name it, I had an excuse for it.
 
However, praise be to God His Arm was not and is not shortened. I stand here today converted. Not perfect, but converted. Daily submitting unto the Cross of Christ; daily fighting the good fight of faith in the Cross of Christ and able to live unto God because I applied the knowledge of the Gospel to my own heart and it is doing just what the Bible says it will do. It removes those things that are not pleasing to God and places in my heart the desires of God. It reveals to me those things that are not pleasing to God and points me to Calvary for deliverance. This is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is His Commission in the hearts of the Believer.
 
This glorious Gospel has this effect on all who believe with their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord but it will do nothing if we keep it in our pocket.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

“1 O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the Truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
 
2 This only would I learn of you, Received you the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
 
3 Are you so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh?” Galatians 3:1-3
 
Too many Christians are stuck in the 7th chapter of Romans. They began in the Spirit but now try in vain to be made perfect by flesh. Humanistic psychology cloaked in Scripture has taken the place of the Cross of Christ and the Cross of Christ has been made of no effect in their lives.
 
“22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
 
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
 
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Romans 7:22-24
 
They are sincere but sincerely wrong. They delight in the law of God and strive in vain to do that which is right according to His Word but quickly find that what they want to do and what they do are two completely different things. Having looked to the law of our mind; the vain philosophies of humanistic psychology, which appear to be good and right, our members war against us. The sin nature which dwells in us because of Adam’s fall is quickened by these nefarious laws and quickly bring us into submission .
 
If we think for one minute that we can have victory over the power of the sin nature which dwells in us through will power, humanistic psychology or ANY other method other than pure and simple faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, we are deceived and the Cross of Christ was in vain. We cannot have both the Cross of Christ AND humanistic psychology. I’m speaking here to Christians. The Cross of Christ is either sufficient or it isn’t. The Holy Spirit does not operate outside of the Cross of Christ. Our faith placed in the vain philosophies in our minds for victory over our sin nature will not give the Holy Spirit the latitude He must have to isolate our sin nature and leaves the Christian struggling in Romans chapter 7.
 
“1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
 
2 For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.” Romans 8:1-2
 
It is the Law of the Spirit of Life IN Christ Jesus that gives the Holy Spirit latitude to superintend the work of God in our hearts. It is a legal matter. If we are not IN Christ Jesus, submitted unto Him, Who HE is and what HE has done to break the power of sin in the Believer’s life (Romans 6:14), we are not made free from the Law of Sin and Death. We ARE one of those foolish Galatians who have begun in the flesh but attempt in vain to be made perfect by the law.
 
“2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
 
3 According as His Divine Power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue:
 
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 2:2-4
 
Every Born Again Believer has been given a Divine Nature. Whether we partake or not depends upon the object of our faith. You will know them by their fruit. Every good tree brings forth good fruit and every corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. If the object of our faith is the Cross of Christ for dominion over our sin nature, we are IN Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit will free us from the Law of Sin and Death. On the other hand, if the object of our faith is self, self will, talents, intellect, humanistic psychology, etc., the Holy Spirit will not free us from the Law of Sin and Death and we will continue bring forth evil fruit.
 
There IS freedom from the Law of Sin and Death but it only comes by Grace through faith in the Cross of Christ Jesus…it only comes as we are submitted unto HIS finished work. Seek Him for deliverance of the sin that so easily besets you. You can’t break the power of that sin but Jesus Christ already has at Calvary’s Cross 2000+ years ago. Step in to Romans Chapter 8…be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

ASKING AMISS

“1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
 
2 You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.
 
3 You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts.
 
4 You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:1-4
 
Looking unto other methods; other vain philosophies, education and knowledge, many wars have started. Lusting for our will and not the Lord’s Will, we ask amiss so that we may consume it upon our own lusts. We presume the Will of God instead of seek the Will of God. The majority of the churches has become a friend of the world and an enemy of God.
 
The problem in the church today is that they have looked, considered and believed every solution to man’s problem that the world has to offer and have done nothing more than give a mental nod to the ONLY answer which besets every Believer and that is the Cross of Christ Jesus. We’ve asked but we asked amiss. Our faith is in our doings; our declarations and decrees rather than the Finished Work of the Lord. We are superstitious and believe not the Cross of Christ is sufficient. Our many good works are as Cain’s sacrifice before the Lord. We are sincere but sincerely wrong. The object of our faith for daily living for God self and the means intellect, talent, abilities, etc..
 
“15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
 
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” James 3:15-16
 
Hear me friend, Jesus Christ is the ONLY Source and HIS Cross is the ONLY means by which we receive from God. Church membership, 40 days of purpose, 21 days of fasting, water baptism, and penance are NOT the Source nor the means by which we make Heaven our home. Doing these many good works are not consecration, they are ambition…ambitious works in hopes to obtain Salvation.
 
Salvation is a gift from God and it only comes by and through Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Victorious daily living for God is a gift from God and it too only comes by and through Jesus Christ and Him crucified. This IS the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit alone is the One Who can isolate the sin nature we are all born with due to Adam’s fall and He (the Holy Spirit) only superintends the work of God in our hearts as we look unto the Cross of Christ.
 
Look and live. Look unto Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Fight the good fight of faith. Be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Be not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Contend for the faith.
 
There are many today who do many religious works but their hearts are far from the Lord. With their mouths they do worship Him but they are receiving not because they are asking not and when they do ask, they ask amiss.
 
“21 Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the Will of My Father which is in Heaven.
 
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?
 
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23
 
Seek Him while He may be found. Good works, casting out devils and prophesying in the Name of the Lord are not requirements of Salvation. The Eyes of the Lord are searching to and fro for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. His Arm is not shortened. No matter the pit of which you may find yourself in, call on His Name…the Name of Jesus Christ; the Lord of Lord and the King of Kings. He still Saves the lost. He still sets at liberty the bound and opens blind eyes. Seek Him and you will find Him. He has a robe and a crown just for you!!

TO HIM THAT OVERCOMES

“12 Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
 
13 Yet it came to pass, when the Children of Israel were waxed strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, but did not utterly drive them out.” Joshua 17:12-13
 
Instead of utterly driving out the enemy, the Children of Israel compromised with the enemy which caused tremendous problems for them. They did not trust God to supply all of their needs according to His riches in glory but preferred to trust in their intellect to ‘make peace’ with the enemy.
 
“15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot.
 
16 So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.
 
17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:” Revelation 3:15-17
 
The Endtime Apostate Church has done the same thing. They failed to drive out the enemy and compromised with the world and it’s wicked ways. Psychology cloaked with much Scripture is the new gospel. Jesus is not the Source not His Cross the means by which they receive victory over the power of sin, therefore they do not have victory over sin. You will know them by their fruit. None of us are perfect and there will be times that we too will fail the Lord BUT when we do, the Holy Spirit convicts our heart and we repent. We are not lukewarm about our conviction but sincerely want to please the Lord and not bring reproach unto His Name. The problem with the lukewarm is that they claim to be Christians yet their hearts are far from God and it is evident by their fruit. Claiming to be Christians while doing this brings reproach to the work of God.
 
If you are the source and your intellect, education, talents, etc. is the means by which you are living, then you are perishing my friend. The Canaanites are still living in your land. You have not overcome them but psychology has taught you to make them comfortable.
 
Understand this, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified can be corrupted when we are taught to believe wrong and It will have no effect in our lives. It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to perform the Work of God in our hearts but He is only commissioned to do so when we look to Jesus as the Source and His Cross the means by which we receive the power of God to break the power of sin. Looking unto ourselves and our abilities will not afford us the power of the Holy Spirit to work on our behalf. He will not circumcise our hearts and remove those things that are not pleasing to God if we are looking unto another way.
 
On the other hand, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified will utterly expel the Canaanites. Righteousness expels wickedness BUT wickedness will corrupt righteousness if we so allow. Such is why we touch not the unclean thing. This is why we must come out from among them and be ye separate. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. What we hear should be the object of our faith is where our faith will be. The majority of gospels today point our faith toward self and works in order to obtain righteousness which leaves the unbelieving Believer spiritually defeated.
 
For too long, God’s people have been dwelling with the Canaanites and have no idea that they are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked. Yet there remain some whose hearts are truly perfect toward the Lord. They love God but have built their house among the Canaanites.
 
Jesus is knocking. He remains on the outside of the church wanting to sup with those who have ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the churches. Come out from among them. Come out from among the Laodiceans who have made their bed with the Canaanites. The Bridegroom is coming and your lamp needs some oil my friend.
 
“19 As many as I (JESUS) love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
 
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My Voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
 
21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His Throne.
 
22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.” Revelation 3:19-22

THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS

“For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are Saved it is the Power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
 
Let me start off by saying that if the preaching of the Cross of Christ is foolishness to you then you are perishing my friend. We must recognize how we receive the preaching of Jesus Christ and Him crucified and that alone will reveal much about the condition of our heart.
 
“3 Know you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His Death?
 
4 Therefore we are buried with Him by Baptism into Death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:3-4
 
At Salvation, when the believing sinner comes to Christ, we are baptized into HIS Death…HIS Finished Work at Calvary. Why? Because that is where the penalty of sin was paid AND the power of sin broken. Most of those who believe that the preaching of the Cross of Christ is foolishness do not understand that the power of sin was broken at Calvary as well. Sadly, the new Believer gets led down multiple paths that all lead to destruction. 40 days of purpose, 21 days of fasting and every other self help method cloaked in Scripture all lead to the destruction of one’s faith. That is their very purpose actually. They are nothing more than philosophies of man being taught as Biblical doctrine and because they are cloaked in Scripture the unknowing Believer equate such with the Truth. Not so. Instead these doctrines corrupt the Truth and make it of no effect on the Believer. Before they know it, the Believer is actually believing another Jesus and another gospel. If you don’t believe this can happen, read Matthew 15:9 (in context) and Galatians (the entire Book which warns of false preaching).
 
“1 Know you not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives?
 
2 For the woman which has an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.” Romans 7:1-2
 
When the believing sinner is baptized into Jesus’ Death, we are DEAD to the law and it no longer has dominion over us. To be sure, the law is not dead but IN Christ we are dead to it. The lost are married to the law but the Saved are married to Jesus through HIS Death and AS LONG as we keep believing the Cross of Christ (His Death) is sufficient to break the power of sin, God’s Divine Grace continues to flow uninterrupted in our hearts and lives. I did not just say there will be no troubles or heartaches along the way but I did say that no matter the circumstances, His Grace is sufficient. His Arm is not shortened and He is perfectly willing and able to take us through the storm we are facing.
 
IN Christ Jesus, our sin nature no longer has dominion. The Holy Spirit, the only One Who is greater, dethrones and isolates the sin nature which is so easily seduced by the law.
 
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for yo are not under the law, but under Grace.” Romans 6:14
 
Looking unto Jesus, Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe, sin no longer has dominion. We are under Grace and not law because IN Christ we are dead to the law.
 
“For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.” Romans 8:1
 
IN Christ Jesus, we are made free from the Law of Sin and Death by the Spirit of Life (the Holy Spirit). We cannot obtain this liberty by and through the vain philosophies religion presents for victorious Christian living and if such were so then the Cross of Christ was in vain. God forbid NO!!
 
The preaching of the Cross of Christ IS power to us who are Saved. It points us too He Who broke sin’s power; He Who made a show of every demon in hell when He gave up the Ghost at Calvary. It was and is and will forever be FINISHED. The penalty of sin is paid and it’s power broken by the Blood of Christ. This is why we get excited when we hear the preaching of the Cross of Christ. We are Redeemed by His precious Blood. We have been bought and lay prostrate at Calvary declaring “Here am I, send me!”.
 
The eyes of the Lord are searching to and fro for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him to show Himself strong in their weakness. The Cross is sufficient for victorious Christian living because that is the ONLY place the Holy Spirit is commissioned to work in the heart of the Believer. The Holy Spirit will not superintend the work of God in our lives if we look unto vain philosophies cloaked with Scripture. Jesus is the Source and His Cross the means by which we receive from God. Look unto Him…look and live.

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED

“1 Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me.
 
2 In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
 
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
 
4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.
 
5 Thomas said unto Him, Lord, we know not where You go; and how can we know the way?
 
6 Jesus said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:1-6
 
Let not your heart be troubled for we know the Way, the Truth and the Life. We know His Voice and He knows our name. He will lead us into the path of righteousness for His Name sake.
 
For those who do not know the Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, they do not know His peace. Fear overtakes some, while hate reigns in the heart of others. As a Believer, we must know the Word of God for OURSELVES. We must pray for discernment in these last of the last days. There is a falling away in the church…not a revival. The Endtime Church shows Jesus on the outside knocking, not the inside.
 
He is calling His Children closer to Him, to come out from among the religious and be ye separate. To be a light in this dark world. The Cross of Christ alone is the solution for man’s problem, not Christian psychologist who point to vain philosophies for victory over sin.
 
Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for the believing sinner AND break the power of sin for the Believer. Remember the Way. We must turn back to our FIRST Love everyday. We must deny ourselves DAILY and fight the good fight of faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Our intellect, talent and abilities are a comfortable crutch…but still, they are a crutch.
 
The Spirit of God wants to breathe life into the Believer so that we may live and not die but we must look unto Jesus…He and He alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to God except through HIS Finished Work on Calvary’s Cross. Look to Him and live!

SPIRIT OF CONVICTION

“19 When any one hears the Word of the Kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
 
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the Word, and anon (immediately) with joy receives it;
 
21 Yet has he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the Word, by and by he is offended.
 
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the Word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the Word, and he becomes unfruitful.” Matthew 13:19-22
 
Some have no desire to understand the Word of God. Others will allow Satan to come in and take that which the Lord has sewn in his or her heart and some will be offended by the tribulation which arises when they receive the Word of the Lord and to be sure…tribulation will arise..
 
Then there are those whose ground has been plowed by the Spirit of conviction. Their’s is good ground. They seek understanding and the Lord is faithful and true to give them more understanding.
 
The initiative lies within the person. Willful deafness, blindness and dullness is the result of a heart which has waxed gross. They have heard and heard the Truth of Jesus Christ and Him crucified for daily living for God. They have heard that Jesus is the Source and His Cross the means by which we receive from God, yet they are indeed perishing. The Lord will allow even the understanding of which they had to be lost because of their unbelief in the Cross of Christ for daily living. His Grace will not be sufficient as the troubles of this world mount in the heart because they no longer look unto Him. They have deemed the Cross of Christ foolishness and It has in fact become of no effect in their lives.
 
“17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
 
18 For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are Saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:17-18
 
Consider how you receive, your “reaction” to the preaching of Jesus Christ and Him crucified for daily living for God. Is it foolishness? If so, you’re perishing my friend. Is it the power of God? Understanding, you understand. Seeing, you indeed see. Hearing, you hear. However, you nor I have yet to comprehend. Jesus Christ is alive! Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe upon Him for daily living is inexhaustible! From glory to glory, we are growing in HIS image by faith in HIM!
 
It is never too late to turn back to the Cross of Christ this side of Heaven. No matter how religious, self righteous or proud we have become, the Lord will run to His Children who turn back to Him with a broken and contrite heart. He is faithful and true to pick them up out of that miry clay and place them on higher ground. He and He alone has the power expel the sin that so easily besets us. It’s a matter of the heart. It’s our decision to make. Do we grow in grace or do we have no desire for more of the Lord?
 
Fight the good fight of faith. Look unto Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Signs and wonders will follow those who believe. The world is watching. Choose Jesus.

SEARCH OUR HEARTS O’LORD

“38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from You.
 
39 But He answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the Prophet Jonas:
 
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
 
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.” Matthew 12:38-41
 
There will be many religious who continue looking for signs as the wicked repent of their wicked ways and turn to the Cross of Christ Jesus for victory over death, hell and the grave. As the believing sinners come to Jesus as their Lord and Saviour; washed in the Blood of the Lamb, they will be more righteous than the religious who continue in their sanctimonious ceremonies and religious rites in order to receive God’s Grace.
 
“13 If I shut up Heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My People;
 
14 If My Pople, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
 
The pestilence has come, we have humbled ourselves and prayed…but have we turned from our wicked ways? Do we continue to seek signs? Do we want deliverance from sin and it’s effects or from the Roman Empire for temporal satisfaction?
 
At Calvary, Jesus Christ paid the penalty of sin for the believing sinner AND broke the power of sin for the believing Saint. The problem remains, just as it was in Israel, there are far too many Saints who do not believe the Blood of Christ is sufficient and instead, choose to rely on their religious rites. Seeing they see not. Hearing they hear not and neither do they understand their wicked ways before the Lord in order to turn from them. They are crying out before the Lord. They are praying for our land to be healed but they have not yet repented of their wicked ways because they know not their wicked ways.
 
“21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate Thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against Thee?
 
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.
 
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
 
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalms 139:21-24
 
Search our hearts O’Lord and show us our wicked ways…lead us in the way everlasting.
 
Pray this prayer and He is faithful and just to do just that. The Lord WANTS to sup with us and us with Him but we must come out from among the religious and be ye separate.

“28 But if I (JESUS) cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God is come unto you.
 
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” Matthew 12:28-29
 
There are some of us who really need to get a hold of this. As a Believer, we live in this world; a fallen world whose god is satan.
 
However, we have One Who has gone before us; an Elder Brother, Jesus Christ, Who has spoiled the devil’s goods, bound his power and utterly spoiled his house for whosoever will believe upon Him.
 
“14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His Cross;
 
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:14-15
 
Hear me today, at Calvary Jesus Christ spoiled every principality and power. The Believer’s victory remains in the Cross of Christ. The shed Blood of Jesus has not lost it’s value in this worldly system. The madness of this world is temporal. The storm rage to and fro but the Blood of Jesus is still enough to redeem the believing sinner from the deepest of pits when they call upon His Name.
 
In the worldly system a gallon of gasoline may go up or down in value. We pay a dollar today for a gallon of gas and tomorrow we may pay $2 for a gallon of gas. In our carnal minds, that’s how we operate but this is NOT how the Blood of Christ Jesus is valued in the Eyes of God. No, no! It is the price HE paid at Calvary that maintains it’s “value” in the Eyes of God for our Salvation, not our religious rites and ceremonies. Our abilities, intellect and vain philosophies have absolutely zero value in the Eyes of God for our Redemption OR our Sanctification. Our faith in these works is a currency that holds no value. It is akin to offering up 10 marbles for a gallon of gas.
 
Jesus Christ paid the price for our Redemption. HE blotted out the handwriting of ordinance which was against us and it is our faith in that, HIS Finished Work, which freely gives us all that we need according to His riches in Glory. This currency, faith in the Cross of Christ for both Salvation AND daily living for God, affords the Believer the Divine flow of God’s Grace that no devil in hell can hinder because his house (satan’s house) has been utterly spoiled by the Blood of Christ. The devil may bluster and blow but for those who are in Jesus Christ, there will remain a peace beyond understanding. We know in Whom we have believed and we know His Work is finished. His victory is our victory. Soon and very soon, our faith will become sight…until then, we must occupy until He comes. We must keep fighting that good fight of faith – the only currency that will spend in God’s economy.

“6 But I (JESUS) say unto you, That in this place is One greater than the Temple.
 
7 But if you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless.” Matthew 12:6-7
 
The sacrements of todays church are many and are wrong. Some of their various methods of receiving God’s Divine Grace are through water baptism, church membership, the Lord’s Supper and many, many more. Their religious doctrine is nothing more than philosophies from the vanity of man’s mind.
 
If they only knew what their methods of receiving Grace are, their sacraments would be forsaken and they would not condemn the guiltless…those who have not taken part of their vanities.
 
There is but ONE method of receiving God’s Divine Grace and that is Jesus Christ, Who is the Source, and HIS Sacrifice made for whosoever will believe, as the means by which we receive from God. Our sacraments will not do. They are as dung in the eyes of the Lord. Dead works producing fruit unto death…spiritual death.
 
Let it be known, there is a river – a river of life. The Blood of Christ Jesus that flowed from Calvary gives life to the Believer. It is HIS Sacrifice that paid the penalty of our sin. HIS Sacrifice that broke the power of sin. He and He alone can calm the storms. Only Jesus Christ can save the soul of the believing sinner.
 
Be careful not to condemn those who have not believed in the religious sacraments as you do. If you only knew what it meant. If you only knew we are not trying to gain the Grace of God…we have it and by faith in the Cross of Christ ALONE, we are simply maintaining the flow of Grace in our lives. It is a battle fought daily…it is the fight of faith. We are without a doubt determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
 
“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.” Psalms 34:8
