Good works, religion, philosophy nor morality can bring us the peace that only comes from the Lord Jesus Christ.  Only through Jesus Christ comes eternal and abundant life.  By personal invitation and trusting in Him, we receive Salvation.  It is not the prayer that saves us but our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Understanding our condition as a sinner, who is already condemned because of the fall of Adam and the need for our Saviour is first step in our Salvation.  Once we understand our condition, we then understand and believe that the Lord Jesus is the only Sacrifice God will accept for our redemption.  All of our sins were paid in full at the Cross of Christ and it is there that our faith must remain after Salvation.

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name.

This is just the beginning.  As you begin your walk with the Lord, He has given us His Word, the Bible, and His Holy Spirit to guide and direct us.  Our walk with the Lord not only starts at the Cross of Jesus but stays there.  Get to know WHO Jesus is and WHAT He has done for each of us.
