Soothsayer Sunday

111 Fortune-Teller-Costume-Man16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of Salvation.

18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the Name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” Acts 16:16-18

This same spirit of divination ministers death to many congregations. The soothsayers of the modern church prophesy, cast out devils and do many good works in the Name of Jesus yet He does not know them (Matthew 7:21-23).  With their mouths they draw near to the Lord but their heart is far from Him (Matthew 15:8-9). The Jesus of which they preach is another Jesus and another gospel and it is accursed (Galatians 1:8).

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Unity in Christ is not accepting the leaven that’s in the lump for the sake of fellowship but boldly standing up before the people and declaring there is poison in that pot.  Recognize the soothsayers and come out from among them.

Wisdom of Men

1_corinthians_2_5--white-800x800The lost are not lost because they reject Jesus but they reject Jesus because they are lost.  The lost cannot come to the revelation knowledge of God through the wisdom of man; hence the seeker sensitive churches are a waste.  Reciting a prayer and receiving a church membership card does not deem one as Saved.

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 8:16-17

The Spirit of God bears witness unto the believing sinner when they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  Having knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ does not deem one as Saved either.  We must all, on our own accord, willingly accept the Sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary’s Cross for the penalty of our own sin to be Saved.  It is the conviction of the Holy Spirit when the Cross of Christ is lifted up among the people as their Lord and Saviour which draws the sinner to Salvation AND the Saints to holiness and righteousness (Sanctification), not the wisdom of men being taught as biblical doctrine.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 2 Corinthians 2:4-5

The seeker sensitive churches have used the wisdom of men to draw the people and the people they have received too often come out of an act of sincerity. Their faith is not faith in the Cross of Christ unto Salvation but falls into the category of sentimentalism toward Jesus as He is made out to be a martyr instead of a Sacrifice.  Their faith is in the wisdom of false teachers and preachers.  Sadly these will often fall at the first difficulty or unpleasant circumstance encountered as a “new Christian” because their “Christianity” was declared by man and not by the Spirit of God bearing witness unto their spirit.  If they do pay tithes it is often to build the civic organization they call “church” and not to promote the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to a lost and dying world.  My loved ones and your loved ones are often seduced by these seeker sensitive churches into a false sense of Salvation.  Theirs is the worst kind of deceit because they believe the unbelieving believer believes they are Saved.

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the Power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:17-18

Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Tell the world Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for the sinner and break the power of sin for the Believer.  This is the Power of God unto Salvation.  How shall they

13 For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be Saved.

14 How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:13-15

There is but one thing we can take with us when we leave this earthly abode and that is souls. Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Be determined to know nothing else among you.

Ears to Hear

5 That in every thing you are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 God is faithful, by Whom you were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Cor. 1:5-9
Those of us who are called unto fellowship with God by our Lord Jesus Christ…those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, are promised to be enriched by God as we occupy and wait on the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Looking unto Jesus Christ, Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe, He confirms us; keeps us precept upon precept and line upon line drawing us unto holiness and righteousness. Old things pass away and all things become new as the Holy Spirit circumcises our heart superintends the work of God in our life.
Abstinence through will power by looking unto ourselves as the source does not confirm us unto the end. Good intentions through sincerity will not enrich us in all utterance and knowledge of God. The precious Promises of God found through out the Word of God are given on the condition of faith in the Cross of Christ.
The Cross of Christ is the Power of God unto us who are called into fellowship with God. Many do not understand they are no longer in fellowship with God because they have neglected the condition of God’s fellowship and have presented unto Him Cain’s sacrifice. Vain philosophies have been taught as biblical doctrine and they have been deceived. Sadly their pride is keeping them from repenting of their error and just as pharaoh’s heart was hardened, so too is their’s.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My Voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His Throne.
22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.” Revelation 3:20-22

God’s Condition

HL2For all the promises of God in Him(Jesus) are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the Glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

The Promises of God are yes and amen for those who abide in His condition…faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, Who HE is and what HE has done for whosoever will believe.  This condition necessary for God’s Promises to be yes and amen is not a one time event at Salvation but an everyday fight of faith.

The condition of these promises are not to live a holy life and do many good works among the people but to abide in Christ Jesus through faith in His redeeming work to keep us unto the day our faith becomes sight.  Abstaining from sin is not a condition of God’s promises but deliverance from sin; it’s power being broken, is a result of God’s promises by abiding in His condition.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the Law, but under Grace.” Romans 6:14

Sin’s dominion is laid waste when God’s condition for His promises are met. Buried with Christ Jesus into His Death, we are dead unto our sin nature and alive unto God. Our old man is crucified with Christ Jesus so that the body of sin might be destroyed.  This destruction of sin is not by and through self-abasement, self effort, willpower, abstinence, intellect or abilities but by the Cross of Christ.  We are afforded access to and buried with Jesus through faith that His Work was and is sufficient to break the power of sin which gives the Holy Spirit latitude to do that which He is commissioned to do…draw us, lead us and quicken us unto holiness and righteousness.  Just as the Holy Spirit drew us unto Salvation, He will continue drawing us unto Sanctification; creating in us a new creature, not a rehabilitated creature who now has now conquered sin by doing many religious works.  That’s not God’s condition for His Promises to be yes and amen.

Many who are born again and alive unto God through faith in the Cross of Christ quickly lose sight of the condition of God’s promises as religion points them to various means and philosophies to obtain these promises. Living a defeated Christian life, producing fruit unto death, they become bitter, discouraged and sadly their faith is often destroyed.  God’s promises have not been yes and amen in their lives because His condition has not been met for daily living for God.  They are religious but life and life more abundantly had been stolen; peace beyond all understanding has surpassed them and joy unspeakable is a lie they tell themselves daily.

The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

This life of which we live is given for the Glory of God but is utterly stolen and corrupted by the lies of the devil through religious means given with good intentions to sanctify the Body of Christ.  The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to produce fruit unto God.  Our many good works and good intentions to live a holy life falls shamefully short of the Holiness of Jesus Christ.  Look unto Him, Jesus Christ, for that which you ought to be unto God; present yourselves as a living sacrifice unto God, and the Holy Spirit shall quicken your mortal bodies to do that which is holy and acceptable unto God.

For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.” Romans 8:2

In order to receive the Promises of God, we must abide in His condition…faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, not only for Salvation but for everything that we receive from God – including His Promises.

High Time

fullsizeoutput_d7711 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our Salvation nearer than when we believed.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Romans 13:11-12

As the day of the Believer’s Salvation draws nearer, the day in which our faith becomes sight and we meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds, instead of casting off the works of darkness, the modern church seems to be piling on more and more of the works of darkness.  Daily we see headlines of sin laden ministries condoning that which God has declared sin. The utter lack of interest in rightly divided, biblical doctrines has allowed the wickedness of the world to defile those which were once deemed holy and righteous.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common Salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the Saints.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the Grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.” Jude 1:3-5

Instead of contending for the faith, fighting the good fight of faith…faith in the Cross of Christ for all that the Believer receives from God, the church has grown lethargic and allowed certain men to creep in and turn the Grace of God into a license to sin.  Joseph Prince, take heed – sin is still sin, hell is still hot and you sir are leading your people straight to hell’s gate with your willful ignorance of biblical doctrine.

As the world seeks to find self, the modern church flaunts a glamorized self as bait to the lost in order to be sensitive to those whom they seek.  In the midst of the many heresies being proclaimed from the pulpits, there is a Standard that is being lifted up among the people; a Plumb Line which reveals the crooked path of which many have taken…the Cross of Christ.  This revelation of Jesus Christ and Him crucified is not to condemn those who have taken that wrong path but to correct and bring them to a point of decision…it is a choice they must make for themselves.  Do they follow God or follow man.  Pharoah’s pride hardened his heart as he held tight to his rebellion against God.  Right now today there are many in hell because their pride utterly destroyed their faith in the Cross of Christ for Salvation. This is not ok. It is high time for the church to awake out of it’s sleep and seek ye first the Kingdom of God and HIS Righteousness, not their own.

And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

One cannot follow Jesus until self is denied…not embraced.

Living Sacrifice

I beseech you therefore, Brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God.” Romans 12:1-2

A living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, is not birthed by education through faith; neither is a living sacrifice birthed by talent, abilities or man made methods through faith.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.

A living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which proves God’s perfect Will, is birthed of the Spirit of God by the redeeming work of Christ Jesus on Calvary’s through faith.  It is the Holy Spirit Who superintends the work of God in our hearts and produces fruit unto God as the Believer exhibits faith in the Cross of Christ.  Such fruit is not obtained by abstinence but is placed in our heart through a circumcision without hands which supernaturally takes place in the Believer’s heart.

For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

As the Word of God is proclaimed from the pulpit it is a two edged sword.  With one edge it cuts away the dead parts; while the other edge quickly sears the wound with love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance…against such there are no laws when the dead parts are removed.  The Believer’s heart who chooses to reject the Word of God and It’s intended purpose of piercing the heart for the removal of that which is not holy and acceptable unto God; their heart is hardened.  The same sun which melts wax, hardens clay.  We must all take heed of how the Word of God affects our heart when preached in context.

For by Grace are you Saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Whatever the Believer replaces the Cross of Christ with as the object of their faith defiles the Holiness imputed unto them and makes the Cross of Christ of no effect. Evil defiles holiness when evil is accepted but holiness expels evil when holiness is chosen.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of God’s Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4

The Cross of Christ has afforded the Believer the ability to be partaker’s of God’s Divine Nature.  The Holy Spirit will bring us to a point of decision and the Word of God will show us the path…the narrow path; that which is holy and acceptable unto God.  Submitted unto Him by the redeeming work of Christ Jesus; always giving heed lest we be tempted beyond our ability to bear, we resist the devil and he flees.  God is faithful to provide the way of escape and it will always be the narrow path…that which seems impossible to the natural eye but authors our faith when the decision is made to follow Holiness…Jesus Christ; be determined to know nothing else among you.

Broken Off

20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest He also spare not you.” Romans 11:20-21

The Israelites drew near to God with their mouths and honored Him with their lips but their hearts were far from Him (Matthew 15:8).  Their unbelief of God’s sufficiency to keep them caused them to be cut off.  They believed in God but they did not believe God. Remember, even the demons believe in God.  Sadly, even today, many sitting in church pews believe in God but they do not believe God.  Quite frankly, they rank right there with the demons themselves and bring reproach unto God.  These are the lukewarm; those who profess Christianity, yet do not believe.  The Word of God says He would rather them be cold than lukewarm.

Many do not understand the unbelief in their own hearts because religion has taught them their holiness is sustained by their own righteousness and the works that they must do to maintain such righteousness is the object of their faith…not the Cross of Christ.  They are not led by the Spirit of God but by their emotions and experiences.  Being swept to and fro, their faith in Jesus Christ for Salvation is in danger of destruction, which is the devil’s intent.

12 Take heed, Brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:12-13

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God…not vain philosophies of man being taught as biblical doctrine.  Take heed.  Guard your heart. Be determined to know nothing else among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Hardened Hearts

16 And in very deed for this cause have I (God) raised you (Pharaoh) up, for to show in you My Power; and that My Name may be declared throughout all the earth.

17 As yet exalt you yourself against My People, that you will not let them go?” Exodus 9:16-17

God has allowed the false teachers and preachers to be raised up; those who have been sent a strong delusion because they do not have the love of the Truth but the love of power and control over His People, in order to show His Power.

For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the Power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

The preaching of the Cross of Christ is causing the pride and stubbornness of those who have aligned themselves with unrighteous, man-made, religious doctrines and vain philosophies being taught as biblical doctrine to be made manifest.  As religion waxes cold, the stubbornness of the modern day pharaohs and their followers will double down in a vain attempt to exalt themselves against God’s people and maintain their control over those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

As the plagues come through the apostate church like wildfire, the small churches who have chosen to follow their “seeker sensitive success” design for church growth instead of following the preaching of the Cross of Christ will be driven to choose between the preaching of the Cross of Christ or the methods they have proudly interwoven into the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to draw the masses.

Untold thousands attend these religious institutions every Sunday morning believing that their attendance atones for their sin.  Not so. Others have been told that their sin is not sin which makes the need for a Sin Sacrifice (Jesus Christ and what He did on Calvary’s Cross to atone for sin) unnecessary.

Still, others have turned to witchcraft and superstition in a vain attempt for victory over sin by speaking incantations in order to manipulate the spirit world of righteousness. I have news for you Kenneth Copeland and all of the others following this heresy, man does not control  the spirit world of righteousness nor unrighteousness for that matter.  The born again Believer has power in the Name of Jesus to speak the Will of God but not to take His Word out of context in order to achieve one’s own will.  If the Lord puts something on our heart, we by all means stand on His Promise.  However, if we presume God’s Will for a particular circumstance and use His Name in vain, we bring reproach. God forbid no.

We must be led by the Holy Spirit and to be led by the Holy Spirit our faith must be placed in the Cross of Christ for everything that we receive from God.  Jesus is the Source and His Cross the means by which we are redeemed unto God.  Many who deem themselves spiritual are indeed ‘spiritual’ but not holy.  They are led by demon spirits who are pointing them to that which they declare and decree for dominion over sin.  If that which we say could break the power of sin in our life, the Cross of Christ was in vain. Once again, God forbid no.

So shall they fear the Name of the Lord from the west, and His Glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19

The Spirit of the Lord is lifting up a standard against the enemy and it is the preaching of the Cross of Christ; the power of God to us who are saved (1 Corinthians 1:18).  There will be many who will stubbornly align themselves with the pharaohs of the modern church and allow destruction to come before repentance of their error. The End Time church does not show Jesus in the church house reviving but instead, shows Him on the outside knocking, calling all of those who have ears to hear to come out from among them and be ye separate.  He wants to come in and sup with you, not religious ceremonies and emotional entertaining the modern church has deemed ‘worship’.

27 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die.

29 And Moses said, you have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.” Exodus 10:27-29

To the preachers and teachers who are preaching the Cross of Christ, the hardened hearts will wax harder before God’s people are let go…but they will be let go and God’s Glory will be seen throughout the four corners of the world.  Blind eyes will see. The lame will walk and the sick in body will be healed by the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18

Prayer Shawls and Yamakas

PhariseesJesus said unto him, ‘I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by Me.‘ ” John 14:6

The Believer is afforded the Righteousness of God by Jesus Christ.  God’s Righteousness is received by exercising faith in the finished Work of Jesus and what He did for whosoever will believe at Calvary’s Cross.

The modern church has attempted to establish Righteousness by various man made methods presented to the congregation as biblical doctrine.  Prayer shawls and yamakas do not establish Righteousness but reveal the willful ignorance of those who choose to partake in these sanctimonious ceremonies.  Their rejection of God’s Righteousness by faith in the Cross of Christ and acceptance of another method as the Way to come unto the Father is not merely ignorance but willful ignorance.

For those who do partake in these vain philosophies, they will quickly declare they do not do these things in order to gain righteousness to which I say, why then do you do them? What does it profit?

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God’s Righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the Righteousness of God.” Romans 10:2-3

Submit yourselves unto God by exercising faith in the Cross of Christ…HE is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  Be determined to know nothing else among you, save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Sin’s Dominion

for-sin-shall-not-have-dominion-over-you-for-ye-24817857Even born again Believers are subjected to the result of sin because of Adam’s fall. There is no such thing as sinless perfection this side of glory. Gray hair and wrinkles are a result of sin; not necessarily the individual’s sin but Adam’s original sin. Sickness and death are the result of sin. The result of sin is not just drinking, smoking and homosexuality. Sin’s power over the Believer doesn’t necessarily reveal itself as that which is sinful but that which is ‘right’ in their own eyes. Such is the leaven which leavens the lump. Seeing they see not and neither do they hear nor understand that sin’s dominion (the result of sin) is in fact dominating in their life.
As many religious folk declare and decree their sinless perfection, they in fact remain dominated by sin’s result because they do not realize nor understand their faith is in their doings. The ‘good works’ of which they do and the ‘lifestyle’ of which they live is deemed sufficient to cover their transgressions, the same transgressions of which the Bible calls sin (self righteousness, pride, gossip, slander, etc.).
The modern church has Believers who are beaten down with the results of sin and they are doing nothing more than offering distraction methods to comfort them in their heavy burdens. They do not preach life nor liberty in Christ Jesus but exhort them to lie to themselves and God about the condition of which they are in. At Calvary, Jesus Christ bore the burden of our sin. The power of sin was broken for whosoever will believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ. We are no longer dominated by sin NOR the results of sin.
The dominating effect of sin which have exercised influence over the life of the lost and many Believers is laid waste by the Cross of Christ. However, the majority of Christians do not place their faith in the Cross of Christ for power to break sin’s dominion and have followed worldly statutes, namely humanistic psychology, for their victory. The result is the Believer either becomes comfortable in their sin and sin’s result continues to reign and rule or they reject this form of ‘godliness’ and seek after another where they are comfortable.
There is but one answer to the result of sin’s penalty and power and that is Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Lift HIM up!!

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (Jesus), because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18-19

If the power of the Lord is upon you to preach, you will preach the Gospel to the poor and not just treat the symptoms of sin’s result; you will see the broken in spirit and in body  healed in the Name of Jesus and you will preach deliverance through the Cross of Christ to those who are bound by the power of sin and see those who no longer see recover their sight.

If the power of the Lord is upon you to preach, those who are broken and bruised by sin’s dominion will be set at liberty by the Cross of Christ and sign and wonders will follow (not lead).

If the power of the Lord is upon you to preach, you will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2
