LIFE AND GODLINESS

The world has not become more “Christian” because the seeker sensitive/social justice church has made league with them but rather the church has become more worldly. No longer can the separation be seen between the “Christian” and the world. Joining the world to overcome the world has left too many Christians spiritually defeated and their faith is in danger of destruction.
“3 According as His Divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:3-4
The Lord has given unto us all things pertaining to life and godliness. No where in the Word of God does the Lord tell us to join the world to overcome the world. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. Forsake the vain philosophies cloaked in Scripture and presented by man as biblical doctrine and believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ for all things that pertain unto life and godliness. Jesus is the Source and His Cross the means by which we receive from God…not the vanities from the minds of man. Jesus Christ afforded us this Divine Nature when He gave up the Ghost on Calvary yet religion strives daily to hinder us from partaking and it (religion) has worked.
Believe upon the Cross of Christ to break the power of sin in your life. Believe upon Him for victorious Christian living so that others may see and come out from among them as well. It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to circumcise our heart and remove those things which are not pleasing unto God but we usurp that ministry when we go the ways of the world for victory. There is no peace beyond understanding; there is no joy unspeakable when we do not partake in God’s Divine Nature.
Choose this day in whom you are going to serve. He stands at the door knocking wanting you to partake in Him…wanting you to taste and see that He is good.
“4 I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The Angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him, and delivers them.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in Him.

9O fear the Lord, ye His Saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him.” Psalms 34:4-9

DIVINE GRACE

It is the Divine Grace of God that flows uninterrupted in the Believer’s life that changes us from glory to glory into the image of God by faith in the Cross of Christ alone. This is the Fruit of the Spirit that brings glory to God. We can’t manifest this ourselves but it is a spiritual work done by the Holy Spirit when we look unto Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The Holy Spirit circumcises our hearts and removes those things which are not pleasing to God.

Too many of us unknowingly try to perform the ministry of the Holy Spirit by doing these things ourselves. When we stop applying vain philosophies in a sincere effort to gain these spiritual victories and instead apply faith the size of a mustard seed into Jesus Christ as the Source and His Cross as the means by which we receive the power of the Holy Spirit to break the chains of sin, we will see victory as the Holy Spirit does what He is commissioned to do.

Our faith is placed in the Jesus Christ, Who HE is and what HE has done and the Holy Spirit will go to work making those crooked paths straight.

Look unto Jesus. Those who believe do not follow the signs and wonders but signs and wonders will follow us.

“17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

PROPER ATONEMENT

For the believing sinner, Salvation is not made without the proper atonement for sin. Jesus Christ came to die to pay the penalty of sin for the believing sinner. At Calvary, He and He alone atoned for our sin. Knowing Who Jesus is and what He did, there is no doubt as to His Resurrection. At Salvation we are Born Again and made a new creature, not a rehabilitated creature. There is a witness to our spirit that we are a Child of God. The lost do not understand this witness for they cannot discern the things of the Spirit no matter their intellect.

“11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.

12 Therefore, Brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself (Himself) bears witness with our spirit, that we are the Children of God:” Romans 8:11-16

For the believing Saint, Sanctification is not afforded without the proper atonement for sin. At Calvary, Jesus Christ broke the power of sin for whosoever will believe. This is where many Christians stumble and remain in the wilderness far too long. They are Saved but never made into the image of God from glory to glory by the Spirit of God by Grace through faith. Religion has swept them away into a world of superstition, mysticism and witchcraft…all in the Name of Jesus. Their faith is incantations and many wonderful works as they set about doing community service…all in the Name of Jesus.

“22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:22-23

It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to isolate the sin nature which dwells in all of us due to the fall of Adam. When our faith is redirected into our good works, even those things which are Scriptural (aka Bible reading, prayer, etc.) for victory over our sin nature, we do not give the Holy Spirit the latitude He needs and desires to remove those things in our heart which are not pleasing unto the Lord. The Holy Spirit is jealous over those things that we do for victorious Christian living; those things that we believe we can do on our own but continue striving in our flesh to overcome. In a moments time the Spirit of God can lay waste every sin that so easily besets us if we will simply look unto the proper Atonement given mankind for this victory…Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

At Calvary, there is dominion over sin for the believing Saint. Look to Jesus and He will author and finish your faith just like the Bible says. Old things will pass away and all things become new when we look to the ONLY Atonement made for sin; otherwise we are producing fruit unto death and remain in the wilderness.

“O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the Truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, crucified among you?” Galatians 3:1

Galatianism is alive and well in the church today and has left many of God’s Children in bondage. Come out from among them. Jesus Christ stands at the door knocking…He’s not on the inside. There is still a work to be done in ALL of us who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep knocking. Keep seeking. To him who much is given, much is required. Don’t look back but forward. Time is short and the harvest is great.
