The Adulterous Bride

Ezekiel 16 32So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the law by the Body of Christ; that you should be married to another, even to Him Who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.” Romans 7:3-4

As a born again Believer we are baptized into the death of Jesus (Romans 6:4), making us dead to the law (any law given to overcome sin) and married to another, namely Jesus Christ.  IN Jesus Christ, because of Who He is and what He has done on Calvary’s Cross, the Believer is given dominion over sin (Romans 6:14) which allows the Holy Spirit to bring forth fruit unto God in our hearts and lives.  This is all made possible by Grace (Jesus Christ and Him crucified) through faith which allows the Holy Spirit to do that which He is commissioned to do….bring forth fruit unto God.

Religion adorns itself on every street corner under the banner of Christianity presenting vain philosophies , vain visions and lying divinations to overcome a fallen world. Please understand, there is but one Way to overcome a fallen world and that is through the Believer’s marriage to Jesus Christ…NOT by fornicating with various methods (laws) of worldly statutes (humanistic psychology) to bring forth fruit unto God.  Many religious institutions are lifting up the former husband; the husband of which the born again Believer is dead to through the death of Jesus, to bring forth fruit unto God and causing them to take strangers, instead of our Husband (Jesus Christ) and commit spiritual adultery.

30 How weak is your heart, says the Lord God, seeing you do all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman; 31 In that you build your eminent place in the head of every way, and make your high place in every street; and have not been as an harlot, in that you scorn hire; 32 But as a wife who commits adultery, which takes strangers instead of her husband!” Ezekiel 16:30-31

Consider that which is being lifted up to overcome a fallen world.  Is the Cross of Christ being lifted up as the power of God to overcome the world, the flesh and the devil or your part?

Not all churches are religious institutions but all religious institutions consider themselves churches.  What Believer would consider going to a motivational, seeker sensitive, civic gathering on Sunday mornings if they did not call themselves a church? I thank God for the churches who continue know nothing else among them save Jesus Christ and Him crucified and I pray they see the fornication going on most modern “churches” and have the boldness to declare the error to their congregation.

These religious institutions with their false teachers and preachers, make the heart of the righteous sad and strengthen the hands of the wicked that they should not return from their wicked ways (Ezekiel 13:22).

The Bride Groom, Jesus Christ, stands at the door knocking.  He is calling His people out to worship Him in spirit and in Truth.  Repent and come out from among them.

God Sent Them Not

false-prophets-john-matthew-jeremiahFor thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely unto you in My Name: I have not sent them, says the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:8-9

The requirement for entering in to the Kingdom of Heaven is not prophesying in the Name of Jesus (Matthew 7:22-23).  The religious Israelites who rebelled against God and did not go into Babylonian captivity thought themselves to be blessed and the captives cursed.

Satan certainly cannot change the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  The Atonement is finished, the Veil is rent and whosoever believes Jesus Christ is the ONLY source and His death on Calvary’s Cross is the ONLY means by which we are reconciled to God the Father, shall be saved (John 14:6).  Knowing this, Who Jesus is and what He has done, leaves no doubt to His Resurrection.  Jesus Christ is alive and sitting at the Right Hand of God.  We either believe this to be true or we believe it to be a lie.  With our free will, we are given the ability to choose.  Once we choose to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes to abide in our heart.  It is then and there that the circumcision without hands begins (Colossians 2:11-12) and we are made a new creature in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

Being baptized into His death, the penalty of sin is paid in full and the power of sin broken (Romans 6:14) and we walk in newness of life.  The Holy Spirit, who now resides in our heart, isolates the sin nature of which we are all born with due to Adam’s fall, hence the dominion of sin for whosoever will believe.  We are now freely given to be partakers in God’s Divine Nature (2 Peter 1:4) and no longer ruled (dominated) by our sin nature.  Before our Salvation, we could not submit to God willingly.  We had to choose to believe. What a glorious day that was and forever will be for all who have decided to follow Jesus!!

Then comes religion; prophets who prophesy falsely and deceive the very elect with their vain philosophies.  Prophesying in Jesus’ Name, cast out devils in Jesus Name and do many wonderful works (Matthew 7:22-23).  They are satan’s instruments used to corrupt the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  These false apostles and deceitful workers transform themselves into ministers of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11:13-14) as they declare the rebellious blessed and the captives cursed.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall you call upon Me, and you shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13.

Beware of false prophets prophesying peace, peace; flattery does not seek Truth but favor of man.  God has an expected end for those who seek His Will and follow Him. Keep running the race.

And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

Desolate Abominations

abominationIn all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.” Ezekiel 6:6

Israel’s altars were laid waste and made desolate.  Their idols were broken, images cut down and their works abolished.  The desolation of God’s Temple was an abomination to Him and it was destroyed.

Financial bankruptcy is easily recognized while moral and Spiritual bankruptcy goes without notice.  The abomination of the desolate temple of God, the Spiritual bankrupt (I speak here of the Holy Spirit), is a result of turning away from the knowledge of Truth and making the Cross of Christ of no effect.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remains no more Sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” Hebrews 10:26-27

Regrettably many gather on Sunday mornings at various religious institutions to worship another Jesus (2 Corinthians 11:4) while they sit under another gospel (Galatians 1:6-8).  Their temple is desolate.  They’re bankrupt and know not what they worship. The philosophies from the vanities of man’s mind have hardened their hearts and turned them from the Truth of the atoning work of Jesus Christ to break the power of sin.  This Jesus in which they believe is not the only begotten Son of God, but another Jesus…a taskmaster with a very heavy yoke. Sadly for many, their’s is a false Salvation, while others are indeed born again yet they remain in Egyptian bondage.  Satan has successfully corrupted the gospel they have heard and the Jesus they know.

To be clear, the devil cannot corrupt the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The Atonement is finished and cannot be changed.  However, our understanding of the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross can be corrupted and it is done so through religion.  That is satan’s goal. The result is spiritual bankruptcy…a desolate temple that is an abomination to God.  These are the lukewarm of Revelation 3:15-16 who profess Christianity with their mouth but their hearts are far from God.  The lukewarm bring reproach to God, therefore he would rather them be cold than lukewarm.  At least the “cold” do not profess to be Christians.

22 You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for Salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him.” John 4:22-23

The hour has come for the worshippers to arise in spirit and in truth.  The endtime church shows Jesus on the outside knocking…not in the church building among the desolate temples not knowing what they are worshipping.

Jesus Christ is ALIVE!  He is sitting at the Right Hand of God searching to and fro to show Himself strong in the behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9).   The Holy Spirit is not commissioned to free us from the law of sin and death when we look unto another Jesus; a Jesus without Blood to atone for sin or condones sin and promotes self will instead of God’s Will.

Desolate temples are governed by vain philosophies and mind the things of the flesh.  “But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.” Romans 8:9

There are many who need to come out from among the religious institutions and follow the leading of the Spirit of God into all Truth according to the Word of God.

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God

1stBut seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

What God has purposed for His Children who are walking in His Will, seeking Him first, no man can asunder.  We may stumble but the Blood of Jesus Christ remains for us and not against us.  The Child of God is washed in the Blood of Jesus because we are loved.  We are not loved because we are washed.

It is satan’s will to get us out of God’s Will and the devil will throw us snares for stumbling.  The devil was tempting Jesus in the wilderness trying to get Him out of God’s Will.  The stumbling I speak of is not going out to the bar on Friday night and repenting on Saturday morning.  The fact of the matter is, the Believer who has found themselves at the bar stumbled long before they ended up there.  Sadly, their heart turned from God long before and the result is a backslidden state.  However, to be clear, there is always forgiveness for a repentant heart this side of glory…no matter how far in darkness one has gone.

Many attempt to seek ye first the Kingdom of God without the Blood of Jesus Christ.  We cannot separate Jesus from His Work on Calvary’s Cross.  It is WHO He is, Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God (God manifest in the flesh), and His death on Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for whosoever will believe and break the power of sin for the Believer that redeems mankind to God.  Knowing this, there is no doubt as to His Resurrection.  We know that the Atonement paid the sin debt in full because Jesus Christ is alive and sitting at the Right Hand of God.  Furthermore, our Redeemer (Jesus Christ) has the power to possess that which He has redeemed…namely, the Child of God.

That being said, I remind you – what God has purposed for His Children (who are walking in His Will), He is fully capable of fulfilling.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Philippians 4:19-20.

Stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord.

Handwriting on the Wall

Handwriting on the WallAnd when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a Book was therein;10 And He spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.” Ezekiel 2:9-10

Through a series of events yesterday I was led to Daniel chapter 5.  I will attempt to tell this story as succinctly as possible.  As I was reading on the computer Ezekiel Chapter 2, this verse of Scripture from Ezekiel led me to look up in my Bible (not the digital version I was reading on the computer but my actual Bible) Daniel chapter 5.

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.” Daniel 5:5

I would encourage you to read all of Daniel Chapter 5. I remind you, at this point I was just doing my routine Bible reading when the Lord dropped in my heart what I posted yesterday regarding faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Sadly, too many preachers are preaching out of everything but the Word of God and directing the people’s faith to vain philosophies.  Here is a link to yesterday’s post for reference, Consider What You’re Hearing.

After writing yesterday’s post and taking care of some other distractions, I returned to my routine reading online of my Bible and it was on Daniel Chapter 5.  I was taken back by this occurrence.  Remember, I was reading in Ezekiel Chapter 2 on the computer.  That being said, I realized the Lord was trying to show me something.  The Lord talks to His Children through His Word, not vain imaginations, so I read again but this time paying closer attention but I still didn’t understand.  After much prayer, during church yesterday morning the Lord gave me the understanding I was seeking.

Belshazzar was King Nebuchadnezzar’s son (actually his grandson) who was the king of the Babylonian Empire that God used as His instrument to overtake the rebellious Israelites and destroy the Temple.  King Nebuchadnezzar’s glory was taken from him because his heart was lifted up and hardened with pride and he was literally brought to his knees and fed grass like oxen.  King Nebuchadnezzar had gone mad until he lifted up his eyes unto Heaven, and his understanding returned unto him, and he blessed the most High, and  praised and honored God (Daniel 4:31-37).

However, Belshazzar knew not Jehovah God and was greatly troubled by the handwriting on the wall.  His soothsayers, astrologers and “wise men” could not give him the interpretation leaving Belshazzar without understanding of the handwriting on the wall. This was the same Hand that wrote the Commandments on the stone tablets and on the ground regarding the accused woman (John 8:6-8) and Belshazzar, his wise men or soothsayers had no understanding.  They were of the world and the world has no understanding of the Word of God (1 Cor. 2:14).

There are many today who see the handwriting on the wall, yet have no understanding because their soothsayers and wise men have tickled their itchy ears.  When the man or woman of God comes to give them the understanding, they choose to continue in their rebellion.

22 And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this; 23 But have lifted up thyself against the Lord of Heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you, and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine in them; and you have praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in Whose Hand your breath is, and Whose are all your ways, have you not glorified:  24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

25 And this is the writing that was written, Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: Mene; God has numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

27 Tekel; You are weighed in the balances, and are found wanting.

28 Peres; Your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”  Daniel 5:22-28

Pride has lifted many up as they hold tight to their kingdom.  Faith in self will has concluded in rebellion to God’s Will. Seek to understand the writing of the wall. Heed the warning and repent.

And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23.

Prayerfully consider.

Consider What You’re Hearing – Faith Comes By Hearing

Faith comes by hearingSo then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17

Regrettably, for many, everything in the world is being taught to Believers except the Word of God.  Faith comes by hearing.  What we hear is where our faith is found. How do we know the ways of the Lord when we are being swept to and fro by every wind of doctrine and not hearing the Word of God?

For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18

The Cross of Christ IS the Gospel.  Not the wooden beam but Who Jesus is and what He there did to break the power of sin in the Believer’s life (I’m speaking here to Believers). The foolishness and vain philosophies presented from many pulpits today are leading people away from God because His Word, which contains His Ways, is not being proclaimed.

Faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning work does not and will not come when UFO’s, Blood Moons, Shemitahs, 40 days of purpose and humanistic psychology are being presented to the people.  It is by faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified that we are delivered from the power of sin…not faith in vain philosophies.  The only fight the Believer is called to fight is the fight of faith – faith in Christ and Him crucified and such faith only comes by hearing the Word of God.  Jesus IS the Word of God (John 1:1).

The preaching of the Cross of Christ, which is the Word of God, is the power of God for us who are saved.  It brings faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ which points us, God’s Children, to always look unto Him…Jesus Christ, the Author and the Finisher of our faith.

Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.”  Hebrews 12:2

Vain and Foolish Prophets

2034713 What thing shall I take to witness for you? what thing shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? for your breach is great like the sea: who can heal you?

14  Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you: and they have not discovered your iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for you false burdens and causes of banishment.” Lamentations 2:13-14

Israel’s false prophets comforted them in their pending Babylonian captivity saying it would only be for a little while instead of calling them to repentance for their disobedience and turning from God.  They then, just as false prophets do today, tickled the ears of God’s Children who would not endure sound doctrine and have turned their ears from the Truth and turned unto fables and vain philosophies from man’s own mind (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Comparing Israel’s pain to other’s pain would not console her. Comparing our own unpleasing circumstances to other’s or our own past and more pleasant circumstances will not bring understanding or comfort to our current circumstances…whatever that particular circumstance may be.

39 Wherefore does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins 40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.” Lamentations 3:39-41

Only the Lord can heal the affliction He has allowed in the life of His disobedient children and to be certain this affliction is allowed to turn us again to the Lord.   Self will causes us to stray from the Word of God and results in the Believer being out of the Will of God.  Instead of complaining about our circumstances, let us search and try our ways and turn again unto the Lord.  As we lift up our hands in worship, let us lift up our hearts in repentance unto God.

But He gives more grace. Wherefore He said, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:6-7

For the Child of God, we live in a fallen world and our circumstances are not always pleasant.  However, there is a peace there beyond all understanding and joy unspeakable when we look unto Jesus…He IS our Blessed Hope.  Because of Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe, we lay up our treasures in Heaven and understand we are just passing through this fallen world in this temporary tent of flesh.  Along the way, we spread the Good News of our Blessed Hope, Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

However, for some, they have not yet submitted unto God’s Will and His Plan for victory this side of Glory and they are bound and afflicted…yet they are not defeated.

21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. 24 The Lord is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.” Lamentatians 3:21-24

Consider the affliction before complaining about the affliction.  Perhaps we should search our own ways and turn again unto the Lord.  When we lift up our hands in praise, should we also be lifting up our hearts in repentance?

If My People, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Prayerfully consider.

The Value of Eternal Souls

In the world souls are nothing more than mere merchandise as a means to profit. The souls themselves have no value to the worldly system other than merchandise of which to peddle goods in exchange for money. This is the worldly system that Believers are in but not of. We lay up our treasures in Heaven, not here in the worldly system.

It is this worldly system that the watchmen, the preachers and teachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, are to guard against infiltrating the church. If God called preachers and teachers do not tend to their duties of watchmen and contend for the faith, then the world and it’s ways will enter, and has in fact already entered, into the church where souls have become nothing more than mere merchandise.

Consider the seeker sensitive churches and their methods of filling the pews. When the teaching and preaching of the Word of God is set aside for entertaining, movies and cookouts your soul has become nothing more than merchandise and the preacher a hireling. This may offend some but I’m telling you the truth. Jesus said “…if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.” (John 12:32); not a feast, festival, social or civic event but JESUS, Who He is and what He has done for whosoever will believe.

The worth of man’s soul is not found in the worldly system but in the Word of God. It is there we find the Creator of our soul created us in His image and considered our eternal soul worth the shed Blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. It is also there, in God’s Word, that we find the value of our soul is by no account deserved, yet so freely given and given abundantly by simple faith in the Son of God.

At the Cross of Christ, the sinner sees the perceived value of his soul to the worldly system and the true value of his soul to a Holy God and recognizes that no matter the sin, God did indeed first love us.

At this same Cross of Christ, the Saint recognizes their vain labor in the religious yet worldly systems can secure nothing more than weariness and they find rest in the Arms of a graceful and merciful Savior Who values their soul worthy of the price paid on Calvary’s Cross; a Savior Who will give the desires of our heart when we look unto Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Recognize the worldly systems in the seeker sensitives churches seeking the your soul and understand your soul has no value in that system…it is nothing more than a pawn in the trafficking of souls to further the preacher, teacher or religious institution. The purpose of the church is to declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to a lost and dying world and tell them the value of their soul according to God.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Such is the value of man’s eternal soul; God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The Eyes of the Lord search to and fro searching to show Himself strong in those whose hearts are perfect toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). How will He find your heart?

Prayerfully consider.

Come Out From Among Them

come-out-from-among-themWherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6:17

Untold thousands of God’s people have attempted to warn corrupt Christendom, the modern spiritual Babylon, of their apostasy to no avail.  The endtime church shows Jesus on the outside knocking.  The Lord has purposed His Children and His Plan for victory over the world, the flesh and the devil.  Throughout the Old Testament we see God’s Children who did not follow His Plan perish for their lack of knowledge and obedience.  Instead of following the precepts of God, they were seduced by the worldly system of victory.  If it is not God’s Plan, it will fail and fail it must.  When God’s Children fall into the deceit of vain philosophies, they too are overtaken with the fall of the worldly system they have chosen.

The Lord sent Jeremiah to warn the Israelites of their pending 70 year captivity and told them to build houses, take wives and bear children so they would not be diminished in their captivity (Jeremiah 29), yet many would not hear and perished.

After 70 years in captivity, the Lord raised up King Cyrus to overtake Babylon and begin rebuilding the Temple.  Those who heeded the warnings and were obedient to the Word of the Lord (not Jeremiah but GOD Who sent His Prophet), were delivered.  While those who followed the false prophets perished.

But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

God’s Plan for His Children’s victory over the world, the flesh and the devil is given to us in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.  Our faith in Jesus and His complete and utter dominion over death, hell and the grave through His perfect Sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross, places us in HIS victory and allows the Holy Spirit latitude to do that which He is commissioned to do….guide us into all Truths according to the Word of God (John 16:13) and free us from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2) which in turn gives us dominion over sin (Romans 6:14).

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:5-6

The modern church has taken up the precepts of the world for victory and forsaken God’s Plan for His Children, namely faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Those who have come to the knowledge of this great Truth cannot heal the modern spiritual Babylon but they can call God’s Children out and warn them of the apostasy.  Jesus is outside of the church knocking on individual hearts, calling them out.  Can you hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the churches?

Prayerfully consider.  The Lord will lead you out if you will hear.

Beware of the Golden Calves

Golden calves28 Whereupon the king (Jeroboam) took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.

30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan.

31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.

32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.

33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.” 1 Kings 12:28-33

Even though symbolizing Jehovah God, the golden calves Jeroboam built with all sincerity and good intentions were an abomination unto God.  As he appointed priests who were not called by God, ordained feasts and made sacrifices to the golden calves, he led Israel into idolatry.   Jerobaom had devised all of this from the misguided sincerity of his own heart.

Today, the golden calves are not physical statues but spiritual idols, namely humanistic psychology, presented by the modern church who appoints priests according to a questionnaire, ordains feasts (ceremonies, traditions, etc.) according to philosophies from the vanities of man’s mind and gives their sacrifices of praise to another Jesus and another gospel.

Jesus said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6

The Way, the Truth and the Life is through Jesus Christ, Who He is and what He has done on Calvary’s Cross.  Everything we need for life and living is made possible by Jesus and the Cross is the means.  Too many Believer’s attribute their deliverance to humanistic psychology and not to the atoning work of Jesus Christ because it too is presented with sincerity in honor of Christ.

Make no mistake, this is another Jesus and another gospel.  Seek to understand when humanistic psychology is presented to the people as a symbol of God’s deliverance.  It is a mere form of godliness but denies the power thereof…from such turn away (2 Timothy 3:5).

And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Seek Him. Find Him. Jesus Christ and Him crucified…be determined to know nothing else among you.
