Don’t lose by default. When the Lord calls us, He wants to use us in His Kingdom. When God moves through us, the enemy comes to attack – that is his job and we must recognize that. The enemy may attack our emotions, health or finances. We may experience “spiritual highs” when the Lord uses us followed by “spiritual lows” and we feel God is not speaking to us. These “spiritual lows” are the counter attacks of the enemy.   They make us second guess ourselves. They make us wonder if we missed it. Theses counter attacks are used to derail us from our work in the Kingdom. Due to our emotions, these counter attacks sometimes work. We begin to believe God is angry with us because we fell for the lies of the enemy. The enemy WANTS us to believe we’re failures in the Kingdom of God so He moved on without us. NO!!! God does not change. God loves us, He forgives us and He is ALWAYS faithful to us. We do not live by emotions, we live by the Word of God! Our emotions are subject to the deceit of the enemy. The Word of God is absolute truth. It is the infallible rock we stand on when our emotions are beating our sails. II Cor. 10:5 “Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” This is the very essence of spiritual warfare; this is a tactic in the enemy’s arsenal.  Don’t lose by default. – Donna Warren
