Revelation and Repentance

Revelation requires repentance of error, not addition to error.  When we receive the revelation of our error regarding where we have placed our faith after Salvation, we have to repent of our error.   The only thing standing between our soul and hell is the Cross of Jesus, yet we have tried every way in the world to get around or help the Cross of Jesus.  The wrong motivation for fasting, praying or even studying our Bible can result in our faith being placed in that particular “work” in order to earn righteousness.  Of course, all of this is Biblical and we should all do  these things…but with the correct motives, to learn WHO Jesus is and WHAT He did.  When we begin to think the Bible is all about us and what we do, we’ve missed it.   The Word of God is all about Jesus and what He did.  We don’t feel worthy if we don’t do our part, which is the point – we’re not worthy.  Our true condition is never realized because the veil of religion (word of faith, grace revolution, etc.) has been accepted by the believer and our faith placed on our works (declarations, decrees, warfare, methods, programs and classes).

We must go back to the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be sure not to add the simplicity to our man made schemes.  The power of God is in the Cross of Jesus and “we” can’t  add the power of God to our schemes.  Jesus Christ doesn’t need our help, only our faith.  “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2.  Jesus is calling His sheep back to the Cross, do you recognize His voice?  – Donna Warren
