God’s Work

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

It is God’s method for us to give to HIS WORK and He will pour out His blessings.  However, if it is not His work, it is not His fault.  The Lord has given us His Holy Word and His Holy Spirit to guide us in to all Truths and we will indeed find what we are truly seeking.  Giving to the work of the Lord out of fear is superstition.  When we give, we give to support the message being preached and if the message being preached is lifting you up instead of Jesus, it’s not God’s work.  Declare His Holy name and His Holy Word and HE will lift you up.  – Donna Warren

  1. Indeed, it is very much possible that our sacrificial giving may be out of fear, out of belief of getting blessed or possibly could be done with an underlying selfish motive. A sowing in and showing off of the flesh as the flesh in us is so decietful. It is interesting to know that self/can pay all it’s bills in time, it can give to missions work, can tithe for a lifetime without missing a Sunday and months and years, it can give till it hurts and feel so good and righteous about it and pat itself on the back & say, “that was wonderful, so spiritual; what a useful man you are to God.” The remedy of this dillemma and problem of the flesh is the CROSS of JESUS CHRIST and our co-crucifixion with Christ. There is no other remedy than the remedy God has provided us, there is no other way than the WAY God has made and finished with for us: Christ and Him crucified!

    1. Amen and Amen my Brother! So many try to add to Jesus’ finished work on the Cross. Most are sincere in their works, however, they are sincerely wrong. You and your ministry are special to my husband and I. We pray for you and yours to be strengthened and comforted in the Lord. God Bless you!
