Saved by Grace

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10.

The same message that saves us is the same message that sanctifies us.  God’s Salvation plan is the same for every single person who ever lived, both before Calvary and after Calvary.   As a matter of fact, God’s Salvation plan is the same as God’s Victory plan, except one is for the sinner and the other is for the Saint.  God’s great plan of Salvation and Victory requires one thing, lest any man should boast, and that is FAITH; faith in the Sacrifice, Jesus Christ,  Who paid our sin debt to Him (God, not satan, God doesn’t owe satan anything).  Faith that the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ, shed on Calvary’s Cross, forever reconciled  the Believer to God and gave him power over sin.

The Mosaic Law never saved anyone.  It was used to indict humanity of their unrighteousness.  The Mosaic system was never meant to “exhibit” righteousness as many use it today in the Hebraic Movement.   God’s plan of Salvation has always been through faith.

Sadly, many in the world will never submit to God’s plan of Salvation.  As the “coexist” movement is making it’s way throughout the mainstream churches, we see many preachers now who say there is more than one way to God when in fact the Word of God says there is but ONE way and ONE way alone, Jesus Christ. ” Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6.

However, as we Christians are condemning the world for not accepting God’s plan of Salvation, there are many of us who have not accepted His plan of victory.  “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17.  It seems as though the sinner’s plan of victory is the same as the saint’s plan of victory but neither are God’s plan of victory, which is faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work to deliver the captives from their bondages and set the sinners free.  Instead, we readily accept God’s plan for Salvation but reject His plan for victory.  Schemes of man replace God’s victory plan.

” Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.  We are not able to “rest” in Him when we are constantly fighting the battle against sin.  Man’s methods didn’t defeat sin, Jesus Christ did on Calvary’s Cross.  Look to Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and He will break the strongholds.  I see many post regarding the devil “trembling when you wake up”.  If you think for a moment satan is scared of you, you better check that leaven in the lump.  Instead, wake up in the morning and rest in the fact that you belong to Jesus Christ and understand the devil can’t touch you unless God allows Him or you engage him.  satan is forever goading Christians to engage in warfare with him.  When we are constantly looking at him (satan) and engaging him in a battle Jesus has already won, we are taking our eyes off of Jesus.  Suddenly we find ourselves in quick sand and the harder we fight the further we go from the Light of the Gospel.

There is victory in Jesus…but it requires faith in Jesus, lest any man should boast.
