Good Works

“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20.

Dead faith, lack of faith, misappropriated faith – faith in anything other than Jesus Christ and Him crucified results in dead works.  The result of dead faith is faith without works.  Works does not result in proper faith but proper faith will always and without fail result in proper works.  These works will be profitable to the Kingdom of God and glorify HIM; not us, not our church nor our denominations…they will glorify our God.

“Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.” 1 Cor. 3:13.

Religion will keep us busy in unprofitable works…discern who or what is being glorified – the church, denomination, organization or God? – Donna Clark Warren

  1. Very well said Donna. Faith in anything other than Jesus Christ produces dead works. May the Lord open the eyes of our spirits to see the deadly snares of religion without righteousness. Keep the faith. God bless.
