“13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear you not, stand still, and see the Salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom you have seen to day, you shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:13-14
The only fight the Child of God is called to fight is the good fight of faith – faith in Jesus Christ, Who He is and what He has done on Calvary’s Cross for whosever will believe.
“10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND.” Ephesians 6:10-13 (emphasis added)
Too many continue to fight a battle that has already been won by Jesus Christ. The Lord blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us and nailed it to His Cross. Having spoiled principalities and powers, Jesus Christ openly made a show of every demon in hell (Colossians 2:14-15).
Many Believers stand at the Altar of Jesus Christ and Him crucified in unbelief. They go through the “religious ordinances” to obtain from God that which can only come by faith through grace. In effect, they are attempting to obtain from God the victory Jesus has provided to all who believe by another means.
For Salvation, they stand at the foot of the Cross of Jesus…and praise God for such. However, for the victory Jesus afforded whosoever will believe, they stand at Cain’s altar seeking to overthrow principalities, powers and rulers of darkness. To do this, to overthrow these principalities, powers and rulers of darkness, we must run to the Altar where JESUS made a show of every demon in hell and abide in HIS finished work for our victory…not our vain attempts.
Our victory requires belief in Jesus’ atoning work on Calvary’s Cross for both our Salvation and dominion over sin (Romans 6:14) in our day to day living. We either reckon the Word of God to be true or we reckon It to be a lie.
What do you reckon? Is God able to go before you and make your crooked paths straight? Is the Lord able to fight for you or are you fighting for yourself? Fight the good fight of faith…faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Be determined to know nothing else among you and STAND.
