“By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.” Proverbs 11:11
The wicked oppose and overthrow the upright never understanding it is because of the upright that they too were blessed. Once the upright are overthrown and their blessings removed, the wicked blame the pending wrath on the upright.
“24 Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of Heaven;
25 And He overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his (Lot’s) wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:24-26
Beware, the upright who turn back to the city, whose heart remains with the wicked became a pillar of salt.
“Remember Lot’s wife.” Luke 17:32

Talk about tunnel vision! The wicked don’t understand they are under the umbrella of sanctification when they are surrounded by the righteous. Good reminder for us…Beware, the upright who turn back to the city, whose heart remains with the wicked became a pillar of salt.
Thanks for this word today, Donna!
