Refuse to Bow

refusedtobow“...and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my (King Nebuchadnezzar’s) hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:15-18

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not functioning in presumption.  They did not presume they would be delivered.  As a Believer we know that the Lord will always deliver us until our work here is finished.  Unless we are caught up in the rapture, all are appointed once to die (Hebrews 9:27).

No matter the case, we do not have to think about our answer.  Our God is ABLE to deliver us.  But if not, let it be known to all, Jesus Christ remains and will always be Lord of Lord and King of Kings.  We will not serve nor bow to the idols the modern church has lifted up for God’s Children to worship.  As Believers, we do not need the methods of man for deliverance…we need Jesus Christ, the 4th Man in the fire, the Son of God Who came to die on Calvary’s Cross to break the power of sin in the Believer’s life.

The redeeming work of Jesus Christ heals the brokenhearted, delivers the captives and sets at liberty those who are bruised.  The redeeming work of Jesus Christ is just as much for the Believer’s victory in their day to day living as His work is for the unbeliever’s initial Salvation.

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2

Be not careful to answer.  Be determined to know nothing else among you except Jesus Christ, Who He is and what He has done on Calvary’s Cross for whosoever will believe. Be still and see the 4th Man in the fire.

24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”  Daniel 3:24-25
