“31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13:31-33
Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. What is coming out of your mouth reveals the condition of your heart. Israel’s murmuring slandered the land God had promised them.
Consider your witness. What does it say about God’s promises to each and every Believer? Out of the abundance of your heart, does your mouth slander God’s promises with complaining and murmuring? A Child of God is allowed in the circumstances they are in by God to build and strengthen their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s Cross.
“Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
Consider your witness. Death and life are in the power of the tongue to slander that which the Lord has promised or glorify the Promises of God.
