Psychology – The Religion of the World

Psychology is the religion of the world has infiltrated the church. Any given Sunday in church’s around the world, psychology and self motivation cloaked in Scripture are presented to the congregation as Biblical doctrine. Because it is cloaked in Scripture, the majority of the congregation is deceived as they equate these vain philosophies to Scripture. Given to treat the symptom’s of sin, and sin being the problem in the world today, the modern church is constantly swept to and fro with every wind of doctrine chasing sin’s symptoms with no change ever being affected in the heart of man.

Jesus Christ and Him crucified is the only answer given to break the power of sin in the Believer’s life. The Holy Spirit is not commissioned to superintend the sincere Believer’s faith in the world’s religion to break the power of sin. Try as we might, the result of a sin sick heart will always produce dead fruit. It is this dead fruit which the world attempts to rehabilitate.

The Cross of Christ gives us dominion over sin (Romans 6:14). However, if our faith is placed elsewhere, namely humanistic psychology, we will not have dominion no matter how often we misquote and twist Scripture. Just because we have a certain Scripture memorized, if our faith is not in the Cross of Christ, our repetitions are in vain. Let us not forget, the devil is a better theologian than most Christians…if not all.

It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to circumcise our heart and regenerate in us a new heart. We are a new creature in Christ Jesus, not rehabilitated. The dead works which produce the dead fruit are cut away and replaced with fruit unto God.

20 For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from Righteousness.

21 What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto Holiness, and the end Everlasting Life.” Romans 6:20-22
