^“15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. ¹⁶ If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.” Romans 7:15-16

Those religious rules of penance, vain philosophies and methods of man presented as biblical doctrine by the modern church to break the power of sin in the Believer’s life will only result in doing that which the Believer would not and should not do…consenting unto the law that it is good.

Sin has no more dominion over the born again Believer who remains under Grace but for those who consent unto the law, any law given for victory over sin, the Cross of Christ is made of no effect.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

We cannot resist the devil by consenting unto a law.  The incantations given by the word of faith group to make the devil flee is nothing more than white witchcraft vainly attempting to manipulate the righteous spirit world rather than the evil spirit world and are themselves laws given as biblical doctrine and do not make the devil flee.  Make no mistake, such is still witchcraft and is rampant in the modern church.

The born again Believer, submitted unto God through faith in the Cross of Christ to break the power of sin in their lives is afforded the ability to resist the devil…not because they said no to the devil but because they said yes to God and submitted unto His Will and His Way for their victory – Jesus Christ and Him crucified; be determined to know nothing else.

“For by Grace are ye Saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8
