26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did not you sow good seed in your field? from whence then has it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, No; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” Matthew 13:25-30
I am convinced that in these last of the last days the Lord is bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified BACK to the church. Judgment does begin at the house of the God (1 Peter 4:17). The seeds of apostasy which have been planted and grown amongst the wheat will be gathered. As they stand, lukewarm with their lamps empty, they will be spewed out of God’s mouth and miss the wedding feast all together.
This is a sad picture painted for the tares. Seeing, they see not. Hearing, they hear not…and neither do they understand. With their mouths, they draw near to the Lord but unbeknownst to them…their hearts are far from Him (Matthew 15:8). Because they did not receive the love of the Truth that they might be Saved and chose to believe the lying signs and wonders of the devil, they have been sent a strong delusion (2 Thess. 2:10-12).
“…When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19
The endtime message to the Church, the message that will separate the wheat from the tares IS the ‘Message of the Cross’. This is not a new message, it is the Message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified; the Power of God to those who are Saved. Some may not like the ‘messenger’ and that’s between them and God. Personally, my family and I thank God for the messenger; namely Jimmy Swaggart, his family and his entire ministry.
What many have called the ‘Message of the Cross’ is the understanding or the ‘illumination’ if you will, of Romans Chapters 6, 7 and 8. When one properly understands those 3 chapters of the Word of God, it is as if the entirety of the Bible comes together. Please don’t misunderstand; there continues to be and will always be mysteries of the Word of God we will not understand this side of Glory.
Furthermore, there is no graduating class once one comes to the understanding of the Cross of Christ for daily living for God which is explained in Romans 6, 7 and 8. The Word of God is alive. It is inexhaustible…yet it NEVER changes.
Once we receive this great understanding of the ‘Message of the Cross’, it is easy to let pride set up in our flesh and speak disparagingly to others who may not yet understand. I remind the reader of the parable of the sower:
“For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has.” Matt. 13:12
You haven’t graduated my friend. We may have understanding but if we don’t continue to hunger and thirst after righteousness and allow pride to take root in our hearts, the understanding of which we have will be taken away and given to those who have an abundance.
In these last of the last days, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified is going to bring many to a point of decision. The Word of God is going to do what it says it will do…divide asunder the soul and spirit; discerning the thoughts and intent of the heart (Hebrews 4:12)and cause those who have been playing church to decide whether or not they are going to follow Jesus Christ or continue fornicating with the world.
The tares have been sowed among the wheat and they will indeed be reaped soon and very soon. I believe with all of my heart, that it is God’s Mercy and Grace that has once again brought back the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to the Church; THE STANDARD that shall be lifted up to His People to once again draw them unto His Holiness and Righteousness. The Holy Spirit, Who drew us near unto God at Salvation through the hearing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified; will once again draw us, the Believer, unto Holiness and Righteousness by the lifting up of Jesus Christ – Who HE is and what HE has done for whosoever will believe. Those who have ears to hear, the wheat, will hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. He stands at the door knocking.
