“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth.” 2 Timothy 3:1-7
As the world waxes worse and many of our professing “Christian” denominations embrace that which the Lord has declared sin, they’re are many who remain in these denominations. Their loyalty to the denominations is admirable but wrong…and they know it. The Holy Spirit is dealing with them to come out from among them and be ye separate. He is convicting them to not touch that which is unclean…that which He has declared as sinful.
However, on the flip side, they’re are those who do see the apostasy going on in many denominations today who are not apart of these denominations. The ways of which these denominations are going; the humanistic psychology cloaked in Scripture as the answer to man’s dilemma, is utterly appalling and they lambast everything about these denominations; the denominations of which many are knitted to but the Lord is calling them out.
Our carnal mind cannot understand the way of which the apostate church is going but we know that the Bible warns us. Has not the Lord allowed these blasphemies to surface for His Children’s sake? Is He not shining a light on the evil before us to drive us to a point of decision in our spiritual walk with Him?
All of apostasy that has been corrupting the denominations is not new but repackaged. The Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified which the Apostle Paul lifted up to the Jews and the Gentiles for Salvation, laid waste the many wonderful works of the religious leaders. Then, just as now, the standard lifted up among the people for Salvation, reveals the corruption of the church.
I believe that in these last of the last days that we will see a great harvest coming out of the denominational churches and the people; those who are determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified, will do just as the Jews were to do…bring the Gospel to the four corners of the world. To be sure, I do believe that the Lord has raised up SBN for this very purpose.
Furthermore, I believe that those whose dead works have been burned up in the fire will come forth bolding declaring in Whom they have believed. Those who at that point of decision decided to follow Jesus instead of that denomination they are so closely knitted to will be a cloud of witnesses to others of the power of God.
Yes, the world is waxing worse. Yes, the Endtime Apostate Church is amongst us…but Jesus is on the outside knocking. He is dealing with the hearts of many who are withering away in these churches but truly love the Lord.
As we see, see. As we hear, here. As we know, understand what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the churches. Throughout time the Lord has allowed empires to rise and fall for the benefit of HIS Kingdom. There will be many who come out from among these denominations into the knowledge of the Truth. Rejoice in those who hear and accept the call and be not dismayed at those who don’t. Keep praying. Keep seeking. Knowing that through it all, the Lord is working all things out for our good for those who love Him.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Keep declaring this Truth that they may hear and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. This Gospel of which we preach is not just for the sinner to come to Salvation but for the Saint’s sanctification. As Jesus is lifted up from earth, the Holy Spirit draws both the Saint and the sinner.
If this Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified seems “foolish”, you are perishing but for us who are Saved, It is the power of God. We have seen His Hand move in our lives; we have witnessed His Power draw and convict us of our error as He ever draws us closer and closer to His Holiness and His Righteousness. Precept upon precept and line upon line, our own unrighteousness is revealed as His glorious light makes bare our own wicked heart of unbelief.
This power of which we witness in our own hearts, is the same power at work in the hearts and lives of many who are among these religious denominations. Pray for them. Pray for His Truth to penetrate the darkest parts and reveal the error they are sitting under and give them the strength to come out from among them.
Praying for the harvest this morning. There is a harvest of God called preachers and teachers who have been swept away in unbelief and caught up in the error of worldly precepts. Praying they turn back to the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified as the answer to their dilemma.
