“And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.” Leviticus 8:22
Consecration to the Word of God can only be found through the Cross of Christ. It is there, in HIM, where we are no longer under law. By faith in Jesus’ finished work, sin’s dominion in our heart is laid waste. Our faith placed solely and exclusively in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, in the Ram of our consecration, gives the Holy Spirit latitude to isolate our sin nature which once ruled and reigned in our hearts given us the ability to live unto God as His Children and Him as our God.
The lost, those who are not born again…those who have not been baptized into Jesus’ death and raised up in the newness of life, cannot worship God in spirit and in truth. Jesus and Jesus alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life. It is only through His shed Blood that the veil is torn and the Holy of Holies is made available to the believing sinner for Salvation and the Saint for Sanctification.
Yes, Saints need our “Ram of Consecration” to be Sanctified. We need the Cross of Christ, the power of God to us who are Saved, in order to remain under Grace…the Government of Grace. Just because we are under the Dispensation of Grace does not mean we are under the Government of Grace. There are many Believers who are Saved but operate under the Government of Law. To be frank and plain with you, they are miserably Saved. Joy unspeakable and peace beyond all understanding is nothing more than a fleeting thought. Chasing every wind of doctrine and vain philosophy the church offers, they are tossed to and fro forever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the Truth.
This should not be so and does not have to be so. There has been given a Ram of Consecration for whosoever will believe. He will keep us and bless us according to His riches in glory. He will never forsake us and is faithful and true. HE is Jesus Christ, the Sacrificial Lamb of God. He came to die on Calvary’s Cross that we may live unto God. In Him, the Holy Spirit produces fruit unto God so that people may know us as Children of God. In Him, there is life and life more abundantly. Jesus Christ is our Ram of Consecration by His finished work on Calvary’s Cross…be determined to know nothing else among you.
“11 Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under Grace.” Romans 6:11-14
