“2 And she (Eve) again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.” Genesis 4:2-5
The majority of the modern church brings their own offering, an offering of their own vain philosophies unto the Lord. Their’s is another gospel and another Jesus. Many times, the victory of their other Jesus was won in hell who was then resurrected therefore making hell the place of salvation and not the cross. Simply stated, this Jesus presented to the people for Salvation, does not atone for man’s sin. This Jesus, another Jesus, does not break the power of sin.
To be sure, it was and is Jesus Christ, He Who came to die on Calvary’s Cross to pay the sin debt for whosoever will believe is the ONLY Jesus Who reconciles God to fallen man. It is HIS Death on Calvary’s Cross that allowed fellowship between God and man. It is HIS Death on Calvary’s Cross that paid sin’s debt for the believing sinner. Knowing this, WHO He is and WHAT He did, there is no doubt as to His Resurrection. HE IS ALIVE! He now sits at the Right Hand of the Throne of God. The work of our High Priest has been completed. We Who believe are Saved to the uttermost. No matter the circumstances, we have a Saviour Who has gone before us to make the our crooked paths straight.
“1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which He commanded them not.
2 And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.” Leviticus 10:1-2
Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire before the Lord. The same fire which just shortly before consumed the Sacrifice, now consumed them. This time, the fire of God came upon the sinner instead of the Sacrifice. It was the sin of Cain…another gospel and another Jesus.
“21 Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the Will of My Father which is in Heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23
The sin of Cain, strange sacrifices and strange fires, are being offered up to the Lord unto this day. The prophecies prophesied in the Name of Jesus, devils being cast out in the Name of Jesus and all of the many wonderful works done in the Name of Jesus are all sins of Cain. When the fire of judgment comes, they too will be consumed as their countenance falls. Today, in this hour, they are lukewarm and bring much reproach unto the Lord. They are workers of iniquity who the Lord does not know. The fire that came upon the Sacrificial Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, as He and He alone paid our sin debt, will come upon those whose sacrifices God does not know. All of those many wonderful works were dead works.
Judgment begins at the house of the Lord. The church has set aside the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified; the Gospel that expels sin and draws whosoever chooses to believe unto Holiness and Righteousness and presented another gospel, a gospel that accepts sin; accepts sin’s power in the professing Christian’s life and utterly ignores the power of God to overcome sin’s dominion. The Grace of God is deemed insufficient to break the power of sin but sufficient to condone the power of sin by these workers of iniquity. The Will of God is not embraced for power over sin but the will of man is being taught as biblical doctrine. Humanistic psychology cloaked with Scripture has deceived many as they offer up the sin of Cain unto the Lord. The church must repent. The Kingdom of Heaven is indeed at Hand. Closer today to the day of Salvation; many who worship the Lord with their mouths, have hearts far from Him. Buried in traditions of men and married to their denomination, they do not know the ways of the Lord. They do not know His Will nor His Way.
“6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why are you wroth? and why is your countenance fallen?
7 If you do well, shalt you not be accepted? and if thou do not well, sin (a Sin Offering) lies at the door….” Genesis 4:6-7
There remains a Sin Offering at the door. He stands at the door knocking. He is calling whosoever has ears to hear to come out from among them and be ye separate. That Sin Offering, Jesus Christ, will remain at the door until we draw our final breath. Turn away from the sin of Cain and do well…seek ye first the Kingdom of God; be determined to know nothing else among you.
