“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Tim. 3:16-17
ALL Scripture, not some, is given by inspiration of God. the Bible does not “contain” the Word of God, it IS the Word of God. From Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, the Word of God points us to Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17
If the Word of God is not rightly divided and presented to the people a terrible injustice is done to the hearers. People are hurt and souls could be lost if the full counsel, rightly divided Word of God is neglected for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction. It is of upmost importance the the Word of God be the deciding factor in everything we do…not our feelings or our emotions.
The Bible does not say that “all feelings are given by inspiration of God…”. Our feelings and emotions are not profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction or instruction but will instead lead us away from the Truth. Cloaking our feelings in Scripture and teaching them as doctrine does not make our doctrine Biblical. There are MANY denominations and churches whose doctrine would crumble if they would simply line it up with the Word of God.
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” Acts 17:11
It is high time the Child of God, those who are called by His Name, pick up their Bibles and search the Scriptures. If the preachers is using 10 different thought for thought translations until they find one that fit’s their doctrine, they are trying to form their own doctrine. The King James Version of the Bible is a translation but it is a word for word translation, not a thought for thought like the others.
“Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Mark 7:7
Beware of the commandments of man being taught as Biblical doctrine. They are sent to deceive the Believer by giving them a form of godliness. Read the Scripture presented in context and prayerfully consider. The Holy Spirit will guide us into all Truths. As a Believer, we have been given the Word of God and the Spirit of God.
“20 But God said unto him, you fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided?
21 So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:20-21
We are without excuse when the Lord demands of us our soul. There are lost and dying souls who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, not some watered down commandment of man. Their eternal souls are at stake. Preach the Word and faith will come. Hearts will be divided asunder and intents of the hearts discerned. The Word will do what It is sent to do if we, those who are called according to His Purpose, will do what we are supposed to do…preach the Word!
“For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
