God’s Grace justifies us.
God’s Grace delivers us.
God’s Grace sanctifies us.
God’s Grace sustains us.
God’s Grace keeps us…It carries us from glory to glory.
We are living in the Dispensation of Grace but not all are living under the Government of Grace…and I’m speaking here to Believers. Many profess Grace but they do not possess Grace because they are living under the Government of Law.
“1 Therefore being Justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By Whom also we have access by faith into this Grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2
The same faith which justifies us is the same faith wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the Glory of God. This faith we fight and contend for daily, not just once at Salvation. There are many ways the Believer is deceived and most of them occur in the church house under the guise of religion by sincere Christians who have themselves been tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.
This faith is faith in the Atoning Work of Jesus Christ. It is through the Cross of Christ alone the we are afforded the Grace of God and have peace with our Father. The Atoning Power of Jesus Christ is where we stand; looking unto HIM to Author and Finish our faith. No matter the trial or the tribulation, the Cross of Christ Jesus STANDS as the place of which the Grace of God flows into our hearts and lives to carry us through this pilgrim land until one day soon and very soon we will meet our Lord in the air.
Something else we should know about the Grace of God…it expels wickedness. Grace cannot dwell in sin. God’s Grace is greater than our sin. If we think God’s Grace is a license to sin, we actually have no concept of the Grace of God. The Believer is convicted of sin, forgiven of sin and delivered from sin IF they repent of their sin.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
Methods or any other vain philosophies of man taught as Biblical doctrine to overcome sin leave one bound to sin. 40 days of purpose places the Believer under the Government of Law, not Grace. 12 step programs operate under the Government of Law. Abstinence through the power of self will is operating under the Government of Law. Saying “No” to sin does not deliver one from sin. Saying “yes” to Jesus, to HIS finished work to break the power of sin, invokes the Grace of God, Who has commissioned the Holy Spirit to superintend His Work in our hearts. It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to isolate; to cut asunder and circumcise our heart. He (the Holy Spirit) removes that which is not pleasing to God when we who are bound by sin look unto the Cross of Christ for our deliverance. We must not mistake forgiveness for deliverance and we must not lie to ourselves about our condition.
“3 So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 Wherefore, my Brethren, you also are become dead to the law by the Body of Christ; that you should be married to another, even to Him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.” Romans 7:3-6
Operating under the Government of Law makes the Believer an adulteress and to be sure, the majority of the church is committing spiritual adultery because of such. Being once dead to the law by the Body of Christ, married to Him in newness of spirit, many have fornicated with methods of man to somehow “gain” more Grace. The consecration we once had has morphed into ambition. These methods appealed to our flesh and they are now working fruit unto death.
There are untold millions of Believers, those who truly love the Lord, who are operating under the Government of Law. They are sincere but nonetheless they are sincerely wrong.
If you are one of those; one who has been fornicating with the law and have become a spiritual adulteress, praise be to God…there is good news. Religion is one of the worst bondages there is in the Body of Christ but guess what, the Grace of God is GREATER! The Blood of Christ Jesus BROKE the power of the Law of Sin and Death. We can be made free if we will by faith simply believe the Cross of Christ is sufficient to supply your every need according to His riches in Glory. The Cross of Christ IS the power of God for us who are Saved. It is there, at Calvary, that Jesus Christ afforded whosoever will believe the Grace of God.
Lord, I believe…help my unbelief.
