CONFOUNDING THE WISE

“26 For you see your calling, Brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in His Presence.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Now (nor ever for that matter) is the time for any Born Again Believer to depend on self. If we walk after the flesh, the righteousness of the Law will not be fulfilled in us but rather we will be condemned by the Law.

Our faith is objective, based on a fact, not subjective where it is based on personal opinion. There are a multitude of professing “Christian” religions whose faith is subjective. I believe this, you believe that and it’s all based on personal opinion but not matter the case according to their religious rites we are all Saved. NOT SO!

While on the other hand, other religions will exclude all of the “whosoevers” because according to their subjections, another has not passed their specific litmus test for Salvation (Water baptism, church membership, speaking in tongues, etc.). Again, NOT SO!

Subjective faith is the unity which the world is seeking. Whether your religion may be political correctness, social justice, islam or Christianity, the world wants us all to unite under a form of subjective faith. According to them we all serve the same god but have different methods of reaching Him. It’s all just a matter of opinion and if you disagree, then you are the “bad guy” for refusing to unite under such a banner.

This unity appeals to the flesh. It gives you the warm and fuzzies for making “peace” when in reality for all who turn their back on Jehovah God, they are at war with Him and wherever we may go, the Hand of God is against us. We may be at “peace” with the enemy but the Hand of God is working against us and not for us. To be sure, this is not God’s Will but our choice when we choose to go against God’s Plan of our Salvation and daily living for God.

The Believer’s faith is objective. Our faith is based on a reality; a fact that can never be changed. The Object of our faith is Jesus Christ is the Source and His Cross the means by which we receive from God. This is not just some form of religion or doctrine but God’s only begotten Son, God manifest in the flesh, Who came to die on Calvary’s Cross to pay the penalty of sin for the believing sinner AND break the power of sin for the believing Saint. Then and only then is the righteousness of the Law fulfilled in us. Only then will God’s Divine Grace expel the lawlessness that so easily abounds in our flesh and take His rightful place on the throne of our heart. The Holy Spirit is not commissioned to do these things when our faith is in an invention of man’s mind.

The Believer’s faith is objective but if it’s in the wrong object, there remains no sacrifice for our sins.

“26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remains no more Sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” Hebrews 10:26-27

When the object of our faith turns from the Cross of Christ and to another object, there is therefore a condemnation…a fearful looking for of judgment because we are walking after the flesh and not the Spirit by Grace through faith in the Cross of Christ.

We must as a Born Again Believer dismiss any and all notions of some sort of “subjective faith”. There is no unity is subjective faith but a delusion…a strong delusion. Our faith is objective; it is based on a reality…our faith is based on Jesus Christ and Him crucified, be determined to know nothing else among you.
