To be aware of one’s own misery is a sign of life. Because of the deceitfulness of the heart and of sin, bondage is accepted and the slave becomes unconscious of their own slavery.
Many have heard the analogy of the frog in hot water but for those who haven’t here it is again. If you put a frog in hot water it will immediately jump out however if you put a frog in water and turn up the heat, the frog will remain in the boiling water until it dies. There are many Christians who have been deceived by their heart’s sinful desires and they are completely unaware of their misery. There is no sign of life in them. They methodically endure what the world throws their way with an emptiness that only the life in others will recognize. It is discernment, not judgment and we want to share this life we have been given with whosoever will hear.
It is our faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified that affords the Holy Spirit latitude to pour grace into our own bleeding heart. We have seen His strength in our weakness and we believe.
Religious pride and self righteousness abounds in the church and it has left God’s Children bound and unaware of their own misery.
“So shall they fear the Name of the Lord from the west, and His Glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19
The Lord is raising up a standard. He is shaking His Children out of their stupor so that they may recognize their own misery. The first sign of life is the awareness of our own misery. Jesus Christ came to die on Calvary’s Cross so that we who believe upon Him will have life and life more abundantly. He stands at the door knocking. Jesus is not on the inside of the Endtime Apostate Church but He’s on the outside. Those who have an ear, let them hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the churches.
“14 And unto the Angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the Creation of God;
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot.
16 So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.
17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel you to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eyesalve, that you may see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My Voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
21 To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My Throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His Throne.
22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the Churches.” Revelation 3:14-22
Jesus Christ and Him crucified…be determined to know nothing else among you.
