Milk and Honey

“Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us? Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.” Numbers 16:13-14.

The Israelites rebelled against God’s prescribed government and wanted to oust Moses and Aaron from their priestly duties.  They accused Moses of bringing them “up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey” (Egypt) to kill them in the wilderness.  They could not see they were still in the wilderness because of their unbelief in God’s prescribed order.  They believed in God but they did not trust Him. “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” James 2:19.

The same remains true to this day.  Man blames their circumstances on others without accepting the blame themselves.  They do not recognize they remain in the wilderness because of their unbelief.  They believe in Jesus for Salvation but they do not believe in Him for deliverance of their bondage.  This unbelief leaves them wandering around the wilderness completing various rituals and works for deliverance from the dominion of their sin nature with no victory…therefore remaining in the wilderness.  Rebellion arises against God’s prescribed order, faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified for Salvation and victory over sin, without ever realizing they have yet to follow God’s prescribed order.  This rebellion causes them to see milk and honey in their once sinful lifestyle instead of the bondage that entangle them.

While the world is busy creating another God, the church is busy creating another Sacrifice to offer to God for their sins in the form of their works to give them victory over their sin nature. Every fad that comes down the pipe for victory over sin keeps one in the wilderness.  Faith in the only acceptable Sacrifice God will accept, Jesus Christ, His prescribed order for victory over sin is the only way out of the wilderness. However, we must recognize we remain in the wilderness because of our unbelief in Jesus for our deliverance from bondage and repent.  “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17.

Unbelieving Believers

Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoureth Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Matthew 15:7-9.

The definition of hypocrisy is honoring God with ones mouth while worshipping Him in vain and teaching doctrines of man.  The hypocrite refuses to believe they are in unbelief while their teachings reveal their unbelief.  For example, their belief may be to fast for 21 days to overcome sin.  While fasting is scriptural, when done with the wrong motivation it is a religious act of works to have victory over sin.  The doctrines of men become as taskmasters to overcome sin and the harder we try the tighter the bondage becomes.  The Christian sitting under these doctrines go from one bondage to another with no victory.  Sadly, all too often, the guilt and condemnation of this bondage causes one to turn from religion back to their sinful lifestyle.  The hypocrite teaching these doctrines does not necessarily condemn the fallen disciple but welcomes them back into the fold to try the next fad that has come down the pipe.

This entire time, the hypocrite worships in vain.  They partake in rituals, ceremonies and other religious acts that feeds their flesh but profits their spirit nothing.  They cannot see nor do they believe their unbelief in God.  If they believed in the power of God to deliver one from the bondage of sin, they wouldn’t be pointing the Believer to man’s methods (works) but to faith in the Cross of Jesus for deliverance…they do not believe their unbelief.

The following is a quote from a friend, a young person who is in bondage.  He has gone back and forth from the bondage of religion to the bondage of drugs with no victory.

“I’m a heretic I’m a sinner I’m a hypocrite I’m just going to expose myself anyway because God is going to do it eventually anyway my life is spiraling out of control I’m on my own my life’s Been getting me nowhere I’ve been controlled by medications that have intoxicated my body I have nobody to blame but myself I’ve known better yet still rebelled I’ve let my God down I’ve probably lost my salvation and probably going to hell there I said it’s whatever I give up.”

You see, this young man is not the hypocrite.  He hates sin, even his own sin, but he does not know how to maintain victory over his sin nature so he is being tossed to and fro.  What method of man would the unbelieving Believer recommend for this young man?  Has anyone told him that he cannot overcome sin on his own? If he could, the Cross of Jesus would have been in vain.  I know, the self righteous will be the first to declare “Well, if he is a Christian he wouldn’t have that problem…Christians don’t sin!”  Does this young man realize his faith has been placed on his works and his self efforts to overcome his sin nature because the self righteous and the hypocrites have told him “he can do it”?  Or perhaps they have told him when the temptation comes to do 50 sit ups instead.  I’m sorry but 50 sit ups or any other kind of “distraction” does not overcome sin. Jesus Christ is the only One Who defeated sin and if we want victory over such sin we look to Him, the One Who defeated sin, Jesus Christ to deliver us…not methods of man taught by those who worship Him in vain.

The unbelieving Believers do not recognize their unbelief because they believe in Jesus for their Salvation but they preach another gospel for sanctification.  When faced with faith in Jesus’ finished work for sanctification, they always reply “we must do our part”.  “Our part” being the religious works, methods and commandments they’re teaching at the time.  “Our part” often changes depending on the latest fad.  The hypocrites have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5).  They simply do not believe the Lord Jesus Christ can and will deliver a Saint from their bondage through simple, yet powerful, faith in Him.  They cannot believe that Jesus can remove that desire and break those bondages of sin if our faith is placed exclusively on Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Just as the Pharisees of old, they have added to the finished work of Jesus.

There are thousands of men and women who feel the same way that young man who failed the Lord feels.  They simply do not know how to overcome their sin nature.  Faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified will allow the Holy Spirit to dethrone the sin nature given to all because of Adam’s fall. You never know when that may be your son or daughter looking for deliverance.  In whom will you point the lost to for Salvation and victory over sin?  Preach deliverance to the captives, preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified.   -Donna Clark Warren

The Perishing Tares

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:  Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:47-50.

I’m going to try my best to not make this a long post, simply because I know more of you read the shorter posts (understandably so) and I want as many as possible to read this.  To everyone who says “no one has it all right” or rationalizes and condones the false teachers who infiltrate the air ways, I want you to read this passage of scripture with the church in mind.  The seeker friendly church, the psychology gospel church, the purpose driven church has placed human opinion above the Divine directive to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the four corners of the world.  They mistake God’s Grace and Mercy for condoning of sin and therefore mourn but do not repent of sin.  Their mourning will consist of a ritual of penitence without any change of heart.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” John 3:3.

There are things said in the Bible of the Kingdom of God that cannot be spoken of the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven has tares in it now but one cannot see the Kingdom of God unless he be born again. The angels will sever the wicked from among the just.  “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24.

The flesh and the world will pervert the Gospel of Jesus so it appears they too will fit through the eye of the needle but know this, there are tares among us.  While we are condoning the false teachers because they have “some of it right”, we are sitting back and allowing these same false teachers to lead a generation of Christians into spiritual adultery.  They will never know the power of God because the Cross of Christ has never been preached to them for deliverance but only methods of man taught.  Their sin nature will continue to reign in their hearts because their faith is in those methods for deliverance and not in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  They will be tares who will be severed.  Good intentions and sincerity does not overrule Divine directions….”For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:17-18.  If preaching the Cross is foolishness to the Saint for Salvation and sanctification, they do not know the power of God and they are perishing.  Preach Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, not human opinion.

Carnal Mind

“And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, 37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the Lord. 38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still. 39 And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

40 And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the Lord hath promised: for we have sinned. 41 And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the Lord? but it shall not prosper. 42 Go not up, for the Lord is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.  43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the Lord, therefore the Lord will not be with you. 44 But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. 45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.” Numbers 14:36-45.

The carnal mind of the Israelites caused them to slander God’s promise land.  They lost sight of the promise and saw only giants.  How often do we slander God’s promise?  God promised to supply all of our needs, our needs are met and we slander Him with our complaining.  The Lord promised His grace will be sufficient and our words again slander His grace with our complaining.  The child of God should always be aware of their worrying and complaining because they are slandering God’s promises.

After the Israelites realized their sin against God, they mourned…they didn’t repent but mourned and quickly decided to go forth into the promise land.  Moses warned them not to go that the Lord was not with them. “But they presumed to go up…” vs.44, how very often do we see Christians presuming to go up and the Lord is not with them?  Isn’t that what the word of faith movement is all about?  Presumption, except they call it faith.  They expect the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to follow them…they presume It will.

The carnal mind remembers what we should forget and forgets the things we should remember.  The Israelites remembered the food they received in Egypt but forgot the slavery.  How often do we remember the season of fun of the sin and forget what it ultimately led to before our Salvation?  How quickly do we forget the nice thing someone does as soon as they do something wrong?

The carnal mind is timid when it should be bold and bold when it should be timid.  It will cause us to move when we should be still. Our carnal mind will cause us to slander what God has given us and presume our position.  Our carnal mind causes us to reject Truth and believe the lie.  It will allow us to mourn but not repent.

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Romans 8:6-7.

Sadly, the majority of the church today is carnally minded.  It has left the Word of God and embraced the world.  This is another gospel and another spirit.  The Gospel of Jesus is where our deliverance is found.  The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truths, yet we seek man’s schemes.  Many mourn but few have repented.  Are you mourning or do you need to repent?  -Donna Clark Warren.

Stagnant Sanctification

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and show John again those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the Gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me.” Matthew 11:4-6.

Jesus’ answer to John the Baptist’s disciples who asked “Are You He Who should come, or do we look for another?” (Matthew 11:3) was to tell them the physical actions of the spiritual result.  It is offensive for many to learn the physical actions regarding their sanctification are not a reaction or a result of their efforts but are a result of their faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work.  However, it would also explain why many are stagnant in their walk with the Lord because their spiritual results are due to lack of faith in Jesus delivering power and abundance of faith in methods of man which results in the physical action of their sin nature having dominion over them.  Many times the physical action we see in the religious is self righteousness.  They have a “form of godliness but deny the power thereof,…” 2 Timothy 3:5.  These are those who look at “positive” physical actions (sanctification, blessings, etc.) as a physical result of religious works and “negative” physical actions as a spiritual result.

Jesus said “blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me.”  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is offensive to those who want to work for victory over the sin nature because it requires nothing but simple faith in His finished work.  Self efforts are the very thing that interferes with victory over sin.  If our self efforts could over come sin, the Cross of Christ was in vain.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2.  The law of the Spirit is faith in Jesus for Salvation and victory over sin (sanctification).  The majority of the church has faith in Jesus for Salvation but their faith lies in self efforts for victory over sin.

Self efforts may entail spiritual warfare; fighting fights that Jesus has already won. (i.e. soul ties, family curses, etc.) Demon spirits will keep one engaged as long as one will engage them.  The Word of God says to “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7.  Many times all of these demons those spiritual warfare classes are casting out, binding and rebuking are in reality one’s sin nature having dominion over them because their faith is in  their spiritual warfare (their works) for deliverance and not in Jesus’ power to deliver.  Yes, we have the authority to bind and rebuke in the name of Jesus when our faith is in JESUS for deliverance NOT our authority. “Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in Heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23.  Jesus Christ will deliver us from bondage, if we will just look to HIM for deliverance and quit being tossed to and fro with all of these schemes of man that glorifies man’s ministries and not God’s delivering power.

“For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified is offensive to those who are perishing.  The dissatisfaction with God’s plan for Salvation and sanctification leads one to spiritual adultery.  This spiritual adultery results in faith in Jesus for Salvation but faith in schemes of man for sanctification.  The physical action of this spiritual result is stagnancy in one’s spiritual growth, in their sanctification – their sin nature continues to have dominion over them.  The lack of physical action is the spiritual result.

Ask the Lord to show you where your faith is appropriated.  I did and He showed me my faith was in my works. I’m not implying you don’t love the Lord, I’m simply trying to explain, albeit poorly, why it is you may not have victory in your life.  The Lord Jesus Christ has a lot invested in you.  He will show you if you ask Him.  He wants to bless you…He wants you to have victory but our faith must be appropriated in Jesus Christ and what He did on Calvary’s Cross.  -Donna Clark Warren

Filthy Lucre

And when He was entered into a ship, His disciples followed Him.  And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but He was asleep.   And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.   And He saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.  But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!”  Matthew 8:23-27.

Before being born again I would probably have to say money was my god.  Not because I “loved” money, not even because I “wanted” money but because I NEEDED money.  Money was a necessity.  There were times when I had more money, then there were other times that I needed more money but I’ve never had a lot of money.  I realize it is not socially acceptable to talk about money so I will get to my point.

Yesterday a dear Brother made a statement that really witnessed to me, he said their was “wealth before our Salvation”.  I had to think about that for a minute, mainly because I never had wealth before my Salvation but I realized wealth was my god.  The prosperity gospel that so many preach doesn’t really make sense if you think about it in those terms.  How does being wealthy set one apart from the world?  There are many wealthy sinners in this world.  Being wealthy doesn’t make one a sinner but it certainly doesn’t make them a Saint either; just as doing good works doesn’t make one a Saint – no matter what the pope says.

When life touches death, life does not die but death lives and is no longer death but life.  What does that have to do with money?  Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, HE is our God.  We realize it is Jesus that we need and it is HIM Who calms the storm.  He, Jesus Christ, supplies all of our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).   We “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33.  You see, when life touches death, we NEED life…Jesus Christ IS life.  I’m not preaching a prosperity gospel here.  I’m in fact telling you if you are giving to become wealthy, then money is your god.  Many do not give with a joyful heart but a superstitious heart.  If we give to the work of man, we receive the gift of man.  It is not God’s fault if we don’t discern between His work (preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified) and man’s work (shemitah’s, harbingers, 40 days of purpose, etc.).  We give to those who preach the Gospel of Jesus because we want to see souls saved, not civic events not promoting man’s schemes.

There remain many who seek a physical result of a spiritual action instead of physical action of a spiritual result.  In other words, the spiritual result  of faith in Jesus resulted in the physical action of the lame walking, the blind seeing, the dead being brought to life.   All of these were physical actions of spiritual results.  You’ve heard it before…”we must do our part”.  It is in fact our physical action that hinders our spiritual result.  Our spiritual action is FAITH in Jesus, Who He is and what He has done.  The spiritual result of that spiritual action (faith in Jesus’ finished work) is a physical action (healings, good works, change of heart, new creature).    Our physical actions (works, ceremonies, rituals, etc.)  do not have spiritual results but our spiritual results will have physical actions.

When we are saved by the Blood of Jesus, His life touches our death and the spiritual results manifest in physical actions.  We no longer seek the things of the world, we seek Jesus.  Having life more abundantly has nothing to do with wealth or prosperity but everything to do with the One Who came to give us life freely – Jesus Christ…seek Him. -Donna Clark Warren

Fake Luminaries

“Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” Matthew 6:1-2.
We often see the alms of the social gospel organizations, the apostate church, on the local news. These are the same organizations that do more civic work than they do kingdom work.  They have mistaken God’s mercy and grace as Him condoning their sin.  Because of this deceit, they believe any conviction of sin is condemnation and will quickly defend their sin saying their sins are forgiven; past, present and future.  Our sins are forgiven when we ask the Lord to forgive us with a repentive heart….but we must repent.
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

These are the fake luminaries of the world. They shine the light on themselves and their organization…they preach another gospel and are accursed.  “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:8-9.

Recognize the alms done before man by the fake luminaries and come out from among them.  Be “determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Unlearned and Unstable Wrest

“Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is Salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:14-18.

The word “wrest” means to twist or pervert.  This scripture says the unlearned and unstable will twist or pervert the scriptures that are hard to understand, just as they do the other scriptures, all unto their own destruction.  Furthermore, it warns us not to be led away with the error of the wicked and fall from our own steadfastness.

Don’t ever be so foolish that you think you cannot be led astray.  I personally was led into the word of faith doctrine and never knew it until one day I asked the Lord to reveal to me if I was sitting under false doctrine and that day during the sermon, God was faithful.  The preacher started telling us how to pay tithes that didn’t line up with scripture.  The Lord then brought Cane and Able’s sacrifice to my mind.  After the sermon, I immediately jumped in the car and told my husband.  Once we got home from church, we started studying the scriptures ourselves – in context.  We began to see the Word of God was about Jesus from Genesis to Revelation.  When we started to look for the Truth of the Word of God, the Lord revealed It to us.

My point is, do not ever think that you are beyond being led away by the unlearned and unstable.  Growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ is to learn of Him, Who He is and what He has done, not pythons, blood moons, shemitahs, feasts, breaking soul ties, family curses, etc….that is all a bunch of works designed to keep one busy and distracted so they will never come to the knowledge of Jesus and HIS finished work.  Everything I just named is religion not a relationship taught by the unstable and unlearned who twist (wrest) the Word of God to fit their scheme.

“Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” Galatians 5:4. When we fall from grace, Christ has become of no effect unto…do not be led away with error.  Ask God to reveal His Truth to you.  He is alive and active in His Church.  Try the spirits, whether they are of God or not.  Seek Him – Jesus Christ.

Cursed Children

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3.

Chances are if one does not see the false prophets in today’s world, they are sitting under the false prophets and are blind to the Truth.  These false prophets do not come with a red flag proclaiming “I am a false prophet”.  They introduce their twist, thoughts or scheme to the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ “And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you…” 2 Peter 2:3.

How many of us, myself included, couldn’t wait to buy that latest book telling us how to “bind pythons” when in reality it was our sin nature which had dominion over us because our faith was placed in our ability to bind that python.  Then there were the blood moons, harbingers and shemitahs.  How much time did the Christians waste looking and waiting on a sign when the Word of God says “But He answered and said unto them, ‘An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:’ ” Matthew 12:39?  These false prophets made merchandise of us by taking Scripture out of context and because we didn’t know the Truth of the Word of God, we were once again “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” Ephesians 4:14.

There were and are many other doctrines that have come down the pipe.  The word of faith doctrine will teach us how to “overcome sin” in 40 days through a purpose driven life.  Again, our faith is directed to what we do for those 40 days, which removes our faith from what Jesus did on Calvary’s Cross.

The only way we can overcome sin and have dominion over our sin nature is through faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2.  We are all born with a sin nature because of Adam’s fall.  It is not until we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour that we are born again and the Holy Spirit gives us dominion over our sin nature.  All those family curses, soul ties and other sins that had dominion over us are laid waste by what Jesus Christ did on Calvary’s Cross.  We don’t have to go back and “break those curses again”, Jesus’ work was enough.  Jesus paid the price for our sins and He will break that bondage of sin we have been carrying if we will just believe in HIM and quit trying in our flesh…THAT is what Christianity is all about, faith in Jesus.

Religion will direct our faith into our works, which in turn hinders the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives because He, the Holy Spirit, is only commissioned to dethrone the sin nature in those whose faith is place in Jesus’ finished work (Romans 8:2) …not our own.   Religion will keep us chasing victory over our sin nature through these winds of doctrine because satan knows we will never have that victory over our sin nature until our faith is placed solely and directly on what JESUS has already done.

“But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:” 2 Peter 2:12-14.

Don’t have eyes full of spiritual adultery, we don’t have to…we don’t have to “gain” our victory.  We maintain our victory through faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  Fight the good fight, the fight of faith in Jesus.  – Donna Clark Warren

Evolutionary Salvation

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16.

Today’s social gospel believes in some sort of “evolutionary salvation” where as one’s salvation is developed.  The light that shines glorifies the organization or the person and not the Lord Jesus Christ.  The good works that people see pertain to oil changes and civic functions to lure the sinner to the church in hope’s Salvation will evolve through imitation.

This is not preaching Salvation, this is psychological manipulation.  Proper faith in Jesus Christ will always produce good works which benefit and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and NOT the organization.  The social gospels recruit the hirelings to recruit the sinners to convert more hirelings.

“But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.” John 10:12.

A hireling is hired to fleece the sheep, not protect the sheep.  The social part of the social gospel appeals to the flesh.  There may be many that pass through for the event but the only person that is being glorified is the organization and the hirelings. The name of Jesus Christ is never lifted up to the lost, The Gospel is not preached and deliverance is not obtained through Jesus Christ.

We, that includes you and I, cannot change the hearts of people.  There is only One Who can change the heart of the bound and that is Jesus Christ.  The born again experience only comes through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.  When we believe in Jesus’ finished work on Calvary’s Cross and understand the price HE paid (death) and the reason HE paid (love) for our redemption, our regeneration…our born again experience, we will no longer try to win souls through imitation and evolution Salvation, which does not present the Gospel of Jesus but a scheme of man, we will boldly proclaim HIS Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  “For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2.
