“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Originally I started this blog to document my walk with the Lord. The revelations and discoveries of God in my everyday life was astonishing. My eyes have been enlightened and I see God’s Hand in everything. It occurred to me that even though I try to glorify the Lord in all things through out my life, I’m not sure I have specifically and expressly mentioned how this miraculous and supernatural rebirth of my heart occurred. Where was my starting point? It is actually quite simple…at the Cross of Jesus Christ.
The stories of my walk, the revelations put into writing does not bring salvation. Good works and morality does not bring salvation. Other’s faith in God’s ability to regenerate your heart does not save you. Only your faith in Jesus Christ will bring salvation. We are all responsible for our own salvation by accepting Jesus Christ into our hearts; not acknowledging Him, but believing in Him and His work on the Cross.
There are many people in this world who see, hear and feel the tangible things of this world. Satan has them convinced they cannot beat their sinful nature, his sinful nature. God is calling out to His people, His prodigal sons and daughters, to repent and turn to Him. You can defeat sin but only through His power and strength, not your own. Then there are others who feel they don’t have a sinful nature, they are “moral” but struggling just to get through this world in one piece. They are relying on their own will to merely get up out of the bed in the morning. To all of this there is one answer…Jesus Christ.
If this is you, here is your answer. It is a simple prayer. I cannot sell the Gospel to you. I will not cheapen the Gospel of Jesus Christ for you. I will point you to Him because He is the one who answers prayers. The Lord is the one who has the answers you are looking for. Only through Him comes His supernatural healing powers of redemption and salvation. Trust in Him and say this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name.
God’s assurance is in His Word. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. ”
—Romans 10:13 Stand on His Word, praise Him for His works, attend a church that preaches Christ, read the Bible daily and pray.
Seek the Lord and allow Him to guide you. If you prayed that prayer in faith, you are now a representative of God. Get a strong grip on His Word and His will for your life and hold on…you will begin to see God’s Hand in everything in your life as well. Be careful not to limit God in your life. Live by what the Word of God says about you, not what the world says. Embrace the fullness of God and His Word and never restrict His Word to fit into your life. Receive Jesus Christ and receive His abundant and eternal life. Hallelujah! – Donna Warren
