“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:21
God chose the foolishness of preaching, the preaching of the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:18), to save them that believe.
“21 Not every one that says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that does the Will of My Father which is in Heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23
God did not choose prophesying in the Name of Jesus to save anyone. The Lord did not choose casting out devils in the Name of Jesus to save them that believe. Lastly, the Lord did not choose doing many wonderful works in the Name of Jesus to save anyone. None of these things are required to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
God chose the preaching of the Cross of Christ, the power of God to us who are saved, to be lifted up to the four corners of the world and HE would draw all men. Rap videos to lure the children are not the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; therefore they have no power to save anyone – none! Preaching of shemitahs, harbingers and paradigms do not have any power to save. Ash Wednesday, Lent, feasts, festivals and other sanctimonious ceremonies have no power to save. All these routines appeal to the lusts of the flesh to seduce the unlearned into doing “many wonderful works” in the Name of Jesus…yet they have no power.
“17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:17-18
The power of God is in the Cross of Christ, Who He is and what He’s done. Jesus Christ paid the penalty of sin for the sinner and broke the power of sin for the Believer. Lift HIM up! Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified to the young, the old and everyone in between. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
“And I (Jesus), if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me.” John 12:32
