Glory in the Cross of Christ

Gal 6 14

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7

Sadly most of the modern churches have forsaken the fear of the Lord and followed the path of humanistic psychology.  Due to unbelief by the pulpit in God’s ability to do that which He says He will do in the hearts and lives of the Believer to break the power of sin (Romans 6:14), the pulpit sincerely presents to the people a form of psychology laced with Scripture which easily deceives the unknowing.  Regrettably, the fact of the matter is, most of the preachers are themselves deceived by these vain philosophies.  They do not realize they have forsaken their first love and turned to worldly methods for deliverance of the Saints unto victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been corrupted in their hearts and is of no more effect so they strive in vain to desperately keep the pews filled with seeker sensitive, ear tickling garbage that ministers death to the unlearned Believer.  It sounds good but has no power to deliver because it is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” 2 Timothy 3:5.

Depending upon earthly wisdom has brought destruction to this world and have little or no effect on the world’s problems.  Satan is the god of this worldly system and such earthly wisdom appeals to emotions and is of the devil.  For the modern church to incorporate these methods and whole heartedly embrace humanistic psychology is catastrophic to say the least.  Souls are in the balance but everyone is scared of offending.

14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.” James 3:14-18

Wisdom from above is not compromising with every false way for the sake of peace.  The fruit of wisdom from above is not compromise but peace which is beyond all understanding; joy which is unspeakable.  It is the fruit of His righteousness reaping in our hearts fruit unto God for His glory because of our steadfast faith in the Cross of Christ to author and finish our faith and to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory….not our glory but God’s glory.

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Galatians 6:14
