“37 Jesus said unto him, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great Commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 On these two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus Christ is the Source of all things we receive from God and the Cross is His means by which He gives us these things. This is God’s Prescribed order… not a vain philosophy derived from humanistic psychology to motivate the Believer into 40 days of purpose to live their best life now or a sanctimonious ceremony which leads to a form of righteousness called self righteousness.
Upon these two Commandments given by Jesus Christ Himself, love the Lord your God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself, hangs all the law and the prophets. It is by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ, Who He is and what He has done, that the Believer gives the Holy Spirit latitude to keep the Commandments through us. The Holy Spirit superintends all that needs to be done in the heart of the Believer when our faith is placed exclusively in the Cross of Christ…this is a spiritual law.
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2
The unredeemed man cannot love God with all their hearts. We do not have the power to love God and willingly submit unto Him without the power of the Holy Spirit isolating our sin nature and freeing us from the law of sin and death. Through faith in Jesus Christ (the Source) and Him crucified (the means), the Holy Spirit is commissioned to superintend these two Commandments given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sadly, because of ignorance or unbelief, religious man will quickly turn these Commandments into a law and devise man made methods which appeal to one’s intellect or flesh as a means to keep these Commandments. These methods only serve to dethrone the Holy Spirit’s ministry because they have in fact rendered the Cross of Christ (God’s Prescribed Order) as insufficient and sought man’s prescribed order. The Believer is easily deceived because it is a religious method cloaked with Scripture twisted to fit the philosophy.
“16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Galatians 2:16-21
Beware of religious methods sincerely given, but nevertheless sincerely wrong, which remove the ministry of the Holy Spirit to superintend God’s Prescribed Order of Grace through faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified and replace with their own methods for victory in daily living. Do not frustrate the Grace of God.

Not only is God’s grace frustrated but so is the believer who tries to live apart from the strength of the Holy Spirit.
