“11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our Salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Romans 13:11-12
As the day of the Believer’s Salvation draws nearer, the day in which our faith becomes sight and we meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the clouds, instead of casting off the works of darkness, the modern church seems to be piling on more and more of the works of darkness. Daily we see headlines of sin laden ministries condoning that which God has declared sin. The utter lack of interest in rightly divided, biblical doctrines has allowed the wickedness of the world to defile those which were once deemed holy and righteous.
“3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common Salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the Saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the Grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.” Jude 1:3-5
Instead of contending for the faith, fighting the good fight of faith…faith in the Cross of Christ for all that the Believer receives from God, the church has grown lethargic and allowed certain men to creep in and turn the Grace of God into a license to sin. Joseph Prince, take heed – sin is still sin, hell is still hot and you sir are leading your people straight to hell’s gate with your willful ignorance of biblical doctrine.
As the world seeks to find self, the modern church flaunts a glamorized self as bait to the lost in order to be sensitive to those whom they seek. In the midst of the many heresies being proclaimed from the pulpits, there is a Standard that is being lifted up among the people; a Plumb Line which reveals the crooked path of which many have taken…the Cross of Christ. This revelation of Jesus Christ and Him crucified is not to condemn those who have taken that wrong path but to correct and bring them to a point of decision…it is a choice they must make for themselves. Do they follow God or follow man. Pharoah’s pride hardened his heart as he held tight to his rebellion against God. Right now today there are many in hell because their pride utterly destroyed their faith in the Cross of Christ for Salvation. This is not ok. It is high time for the church to awake out of it’s sleep and seek ye first the Kingdom of God and HIS Righteousness, not their own.
“And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23
One cannot follow Jesus until self is denied…not embraced.
