“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
‘Whosoever will’ means ‘whosoever will’. The Lord gave us a free will to choose in whom we believe. The lost are not lost because they do not believe Jesus Christ came to give them everlasting life when He died on Calvary’s Cross. No, they do not believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified because they are lost.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:19-20
The reason Jesus Christ Himself instructed us to go out into all of the world and preach the Gospel is to make disciples, followers of HIM.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17
For those who believe in limited atonement, there is no reason to preach the Gospel and the Word of God is a lie. Whosoever will means whosoever will. Jesus came to die on Calvary’s Cross so that whosoever will freely choose to believe upon Him shall be Saved.
“How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher” Romans 10:14
If it is not necessary for man to choose to believe to be Saved, then sit down and stop preaching.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
ALL Scripture, not some is profitable for doctrine.
