ONE MEDIATOR

“For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, The Man Christ Jesus;” 1 Timothy 2:5

Jesus fulfilled all of the demands of the Law. HE is the only Mediator for mankind to be reconciled unto God and His Cross is the means by which He afforded us this reconciliation.

Our many wonderful works and our prophesying in Jesus’ Name does not and will not reconcile us unto God.

“21 Not every one who says unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but He that does the Will of My Father which is in Heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your Name? and in Your Name have cast out devils? and in Your Name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23

Sadly, there are many who worship the Lord with their mouths but their hearts are far from Him. Having dismissed what Jesus Christ accomplished at Calvary’s Cross to break the power of sin and instead added another method from the vanities of their own mind to their endless list of philosophies, they have attempted to mediate reconciliation between God and man…yet the Lord does not know them.

Consider the answer given to break the power of sin. If it is not the Cross of Christ, which is the Will of God to redeem man; it is another mediator that will fall short.

“Jesus said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.” John 14:6

Doing many wonderful works, prophesying in Jesus Name and casting out demons in Jesus Name are not requirements to enter the Kingdom of Heave. As we draw nearer to Jesus, submitted unto HIS finished work for all that we need for life and living, the Grace of God flows uninterrupted in our hearts and lives. At times circumstances are difficult and downright unpleasing to say the least and we have to fight a little harder that good fight of faith so that our circumstances don’t become that which lords over us. Denying our own abilities to manipulate the situation is the hardest part of the fight.

“And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

But when that good fight is fought and we decide this day to follow Jesus by placing our faith solely and exclusively in HIS mediating work and not our own, our cross is easy to take up. Our cross will in fact chase us down because we are following Jesus according to God’s Plan. The Cross of Christ was a place of great suffering for our Lord but it is a place of great blessing for those who believe.

There is ONE Mediator between God and fallen man. His Name is Jesus and His source was the cross. Be determined to know nothing else among you.
