“4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7
There is a lost world and a dying church…a church bound to religious traditions and vain philosophies that need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The philosophies presented to them for their best life now are seeds of death producing fruit unto death.
Lukewarm “Christians” and their religious ways bring reproach unto God. In reality, they are rotting and decaying spiritually.
The lost are not decaying spiritually but are dead spiritually. Never being alive unto God, they know no different. They are not lost because they deny Jesus as their Saviour but deny Jesus as their Saviour because they are lost. They need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified in order that the Holy Spirit may convict them of their condition and draw them unto the Lord. What they DO NOT need to hear is another method given by humanistic psychology. To be sure, the ONLY difference in the world’s answer to sin and the modern church is one is cloaked in Scripture.
On the other hand, there is a people…a people who know how to touch the Throne Room of God; who dwell in the cleft of the Rock and fight daily to deny their own abilities, intellect and talents, in order to pick up their cross and follow Jesus Christ. They KNOW Who Jesus is and what HE has done and are determined to know nothing else. They know that it is there, at Calvary’s Cross, that they are reconciled unto God and fully submitted unto HIS Plan of Redemption.
There are those you will see going about daily rejoicing in the Lord in spite of their circumstances. They are not ashamed to make their moderation be known unto all men, for the Lord is at hand. They are careful for nothing but by prayer and supplication, they let their request be known unto God and the peace beyond all understanding encompasses round about them and keeps them.
THIS is what the Cross of Christ has afforded the Believer who daily fights the good fight of faith and chooses to believe the Cross of Christ is sufficient.
THIS is Jesus Christ and Him crucified of which we preach and are determined to know nothing else. He is ABLE to provide all of our needs according to His riches in glory. He is ABLE to give you the desires of your heart as you are submitted unto His Will.
Seek Him and and you will find Him.
