“But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” James 1:25
Looking into the perfect Law of Liberty; into the Law of the Spirit of Life IN Christ Jesus, and continuing therein by Grace through faith of the Son of God Who loved you and gave Himself for you, be not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work. One cannot be a doer without being a Believer who believes the Cross of Christ is sufficient. A doer will deny themselves. We will set aside our will; our will power, abilities, intellect and talent and look unto the perfect Law of Liberty as we will look unto the Cross of Christ, He Who authors and finishes our faith.
This Law of Liberty that we fight to continue therein by purposefully placing our faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, promises us the blessings of God.
This is the fight we are commissioned to fight…the good fight of faith.
“And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23
Looking into the perfect Law of Liberty, we see ourselves; we see our weakness and God’s Answer to man’s dilemma (Jesus Christ and Him crucified). Whether we choose God’s answer or our own is that which determines if we continue in the Law of Liberty (pick up our cross) and follow Jesus (be a doer of the work) where we will be blessed or follow our vain philosophy where we will be cursed.
Choose to be a doer of the work. Look into the perfect Law of Liberty and continue therein. The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, makes us free from the Law of Sin and Death. Be determined to know nothing else among you save Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
