When the Believer finally comes to the understanding that God’s Righteousness and His Justification rest solely and precisely on the efficacy of the Finished Work of Christ Jesus, we will stop striving to gain this status through our ‘good works’ and learn to rest in Jesus’ Work.
We are Justified by faith and we are Sanctified by Faith. Once we are Born Again, we CONTINUE looking unto the Cross of Christ for the increase. No manipulation needed…no twisting of Scripture, no doing of good works; civic works given to the Believer to promote the status of the religious organization, aka the church, among the community. No, not at all. Those religious yokes are heavy and there is no rest for the weary. Through simple faith in the Cross of Christ for all that we need for life and living, we give the Holy Spirit latitude to do that which He is commissioned to do in our hearts; we give Him latitude to circumcise our heart with the circumcision without hands. We allow Him to remove those things which are not of God and give us the desires of our heart which will in turn always line up with God’s desires. The Holy Spirit is commissioned to superintend the work of God in our hearts and to produce fruit unto God for the world to see. We don’t have to fake it until we make it. We don’t have to lie to ourselves or unto God about our present circumstances. We simply cry out to God for help and His Arm is not shortened. He will reach down into the deepest depths and rip us from satan’s grip when we look unto the Cross of Christ Jesus for our help.
“3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him.” 2 Cor. 11:3-4
The simplicity of the Gospel doesn’t change after our Salvation but man being man will always try to make it harder. Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ for all that you need. Look unto Him expecting . He will supply all of your needs according to HIS riches in Glory. It is the efficacy of the Cross of Christ that many put on trial when it comes to our need. We either believe or we don’t. Lord help our unbelief, give us the increase according to your riches in glory. God knows our need whether it be physical, spiritual or financial and He is fully capable of meeting that need. Trust Him.
