God will place a burden on your heart. This burden causes you to seek Him for revelation. Sometimes this burden will reveal the answers you have been searching for in prayer. This burden is a blessing because it leads you to an answer. Once the answer is revealed you realize it is not just for you. In essence, your revelation of your burden becomes your blessing. We are blessed by God so we can share God’s blessings. We are burdened by God to provoke us to seek Him for answers, for revelations. Revelations are blessings. They are infinite – they are God’s blessings.
“Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,’ and ‘A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.’ They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.” 1 Peter 2:7-8
Confused yet? Many of us are burdened with the state of America today. As Christians, we are all praying for God’s continued protection. This nation was founded and dedicated to God. We are praying for this nation to turn back to God. The United States today is relying on it’s own strength and power instead of the Lord’s strength and power. The abuse of the very strength and power given to us as a nation by God and His grace will not protect us from judgement. There’s that word judgement. Many dislike that word but NONE of us are exempt. The righteous and the unrighteous will be judged and by not choosing, our choice is made. Choose God. We don’t see then believe, we believe then see.
Something else that has been on my heart lately is for Christians to keep the faith. I look around and I see some of my Christian brothers and sisters so beaten down and I just want to cheer them on. Keep the faith, keep the faith; your breakthrough is coming if you just keep the faith. Their apathy is dimming the light they are called to be – God’s light. They are dry bones. They are crying out to God- breathe life, breathe life. They seek God and they find Him and that is why they keep the faith. Their light is not dimming, it’s me looking at their darkness instead of their light.
So back to the dreaded word judgement. We are seeing the warning signs and praying for God’s protection but not repenting and turning back to Him. We are stumbling over the warnings. The warnings are to bring us to redemption instead of judgement. We will all be judged but God’s warnings, the lifting of His veil of protection, is to bring us to redemption. God loves us. He wants us to turn to Him so He CAN save us but the only way to rid the world of evil is through judgement. Otherwise, Heaven would be full of evil.
The good news is still The Gospel. The good news is still the redeeming Blood of Jesus. The good news is God loves us enough to warn us. The good news is the alarms are sounding. The gates to Cavalry Road have always been open and now the watchmen are sounding the alarms to guide us to The Cross of Jesus Christ. The light of the world is still shining brightly as long as we look to Him and not ourselves. The television, internet and radio is blaring the darkness of the world across the airwaves. It is a necessity. There must be darkness to see the light. God is not the reason for the darkness; evil is the reason for the darkness. God is allowing us to see the darkness so we can also see the light. We must believe to see the light, we must choose to see the light. We must seek Jesus.
Don’t stumble in the darkness of impending judgement. Judgement will come to all of us Judgement is eternal. But pray, pray for both the righteous and unrighteous to repent and return to God. Yes, even the righteous have things to repent of. None of us are perfect. Everyday Christians are compromising with the devil. We don’t have to compromise with the devil. We stand on his head. The devil is beneath us and don’t let him deceive you otherwise…. we have dominion over him through the Blood of Jesus. Don’t stumble – keep the faith. The warning signs are for redemption of the harvest. God is still God. God is still in control. Praise God!
“But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” Luke 22:32
